A new report from RadarOnline suggests that Jennifer Lopez is in negotiations to return to Idol. This comes as a surprise, as the previously linked dream panel was Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, and Adam Lambert. Also, Keith Urban keeps telling people he’s coming back.
Now, Kelly Clarkson’s people have said she will not be judging next season, which could free up a spot. Would that free it up for Keith or J.Lo? Perhaps they haven’t approached Clay or Adam? Adam would be the better get, as he is currently performing more than Clay, but they are almost the same artist. Might we see a Keith, J.Lo, J. Hud, Adam Lambert panel next season? Personally, I was rooting for Season 6 standout Melinda Doolittle, who has been doing an excellent job on Idology, but it would appear that the Idol panel aren’t looking for quality so much as quantity.
