Jasmine Burke Shares What Pastors Think Of Bounce TV’s “Saints & Sinners”

Actress, Jasmine Burke, who plays Dr. Christie Johnson on Bounce TV’s hit church drama Saints & Sinners shares how Pastors feel about the show.

“Truth be told, church might be a holy place, but folks have devilish ways.”

In an interview with The Grio, Burke revealed that the church drama, is loved by church goers and pastors as well.

“Nobody has ever in church come up to me or given me the side eye,” she said. “Folks really just love watching the show. And I think people know we’re not bashing the church, we’re just telling a very juicy story. Most of it has nothing to do with saying bad things about the church, more so it’s about the people in the church. People can understand that.”

She continued,

“I think the people love the fact that we have taken something that is so precious and been able to make it interesting to watch,” she said.

“I’ve had actual pastors come up to me and say they love the show. They don’t take offense to it at all. They can’t wait until Sunday night. They preach all Sunday morning and can’t wait until Sunday night to watch their favorite show Saints & Sinners!”

And what about the baby, do we ever find out what happened?

“We do find out what happens to that baby!” says Burke excitedly. “Christie and Lady Bird, her grandmom, you have not seen nothing yet! And what she finds out about her grandmom and what the audience finds out, is going to have mouths on the ground. Seriously. You cannot guess.”
