You may not have heard of Jargon Party before, but after today, we're sure you'll look forward to hearing of, and from them again! Their latest single, Lucy Melanie, is an indie mix, fused with surf pop that is sure to get you dancing ... we're sure there are bits and bobs about it that you're not goignt o love immediately, but we promise this is a gooden that gets stuck in your head.
You'll notice the surf element of it the whole way through, but the playful Indie mix is what makes this really fresh. The likenesses to generations way beyond our own is impressive, sophisticated, and despite the twangs and noises that don't always necessarily conjure the same feelings that a real singer would do ... we can't help but love this strange little melody.
As we've stated, the singing isn't the absolute best and, is by no means up to the standard of some of the singers that you'll hear today ... however, the way in which is has been played against this extraordinary and quite odd music really makes it A-Okay with us.
Like Los Campesinos, mixed together with the likes of Wavves, this almost grungy surf pop act is one to be watching in the next little while. We're unsure whether or not they will immediately make an impact on the business, but we're sure after long their quirky little name will be making some ... err ... waves!
