Janice Freeman ‘The Voice’ Contestant Has Passed. She Was 33

Janice Freeman, a contestant from Season 13 of “The Voice,” has died from an apparent blood clot. She was 33.

According to TMZ  Freeman died Saturday, from an apparent blood clot.  The singer was at home with her husband, Dion, when she started complaining she couldn’t breathe. Dion called 911 and had to perform CPR on her until paramedics arrived. She was pronounced dead around 5:30 PM at a hospital.

Freeman’s friend Crystal Lewis, also a gospel singer, shared the news on Instagram, writing,”Just before I stepped on stage to sing with Tori Kelly at her Orange County show tonight I received word that my beautiful friend Janice Freeman passed away. I’m at a loss. A complete and utter loss. She was beating cancer. She was a BEAST vocalist… like no one I’d ever heard.”

Freeman had battled lupus, meningitis and cervical cancer in the past. Our prayers are with Janice Freeman husband,  Dion, family, and friends.
