Janelle Monae. Thank GOD she’s back to releasing music regularly. “Dance Apocalyptic” channels, of all things, early rock and roll and R&B, with a hint of “Hey Mickey,” and Monae’s signature space opera bit at the end. This is the second single off her upcoming album, Electric Lady, after “Q.U.E.E.N.” I was intrigued earlier – now I’m excited. The ArchAndroid was the best album of its year… I expect nothing less from what hopefully will be a similarly awesome creation.
