James Frain‘s brief but very memorable stint on season 3 of True Blood definitely gave Truebies something to talk about. Frain’s portrayal of Franklin Mott was comedic, dramatic, and full of mood swings; so, basically, he fit in very well with the other characters. Franklin met the true death outside of Merlotte’s, and since then, Frain has been spotted on many other TV shows. The latest news is that he’ll appear in season 2 of NBC‘s supernatural hit series, Grimm, and will play Eric Renard, the brother of Capt. Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz). The estranged brothers will be reunited when Eric makes his way to Portland just as an evil creature also lands there. And of course, Eric is also a little evil himself, and may not have the best intentions for main character Nick (David Giuntoli).
Production on the second season is scheduled to begin this week, with the premiere rumored to air sometime in August.
