Jack Wills Christmas Party - Newcastle

By Hellofreckles @tashajsteel
On Thursday I went through to the new Jack Wills store in Newcastle for a little look around, some live music and a couple of treats.
From 5-7pm, the Newcastle Seasonnaires were hosting a 'Christmas Party' in store. There was live music from Will Connor, who played a number of acoustic covers including Bastille and Alex Clare before a DJ played a bunch of tracks afterwards.

Ridley and Josh from Jam Jar in Jesmond brought along some Mulled Cider and served it in cute little jam  jars. I've never been to Jam Jar but after the guys told me about their range of cocktails (that all come in jam jars) and showed me their menu, I think I may be taking Andrew there for date night soon. I like quirky little things that make bars/restaurants unique and their mulled cider was lovely, just what I needed when I got out of the wind and cold.

Incredibly tasty mini cupcakes were made by The Great British Cupcakery, a great little place on the Newcastle Quayside that has a range of cakes and treats. I've been there a couple of times now and you can see my post about the opening here.

It wouldn't be Jack Wills without the signature blue and pink would it? The whole store looked great with the Christmas trees, decorations and all those checked shirts and jumpers I was having to pull myself away from! I can't be the only one though and if I had been treating myself I would have got 20% student discount, but I managed to hold off, telling myself it's too close to Christmas to be buying things for myself, especially when I've not finished buying for everyone else! Oops. I'll be keeping my eye out for the next time they're offering double discount though, I've got my eye on (another) checked shirt!
