J. Cole has a lot to celebrate for this weekend. After performing at the Made In America Festival, Billboard reports that his third album 2014 Forest Hills Drive sold an extra 6,000 copies over the weekend, bringing it to a total of 1.004 million.
2014 Forest Hills Drive is Cole’s first album to sell a million copies, which is good especially in an era where it is difficult for artist to get to 500k. The new stat is strictly a sales figure and does not account for streams. In March, Forest Hills Drive became the first hip-hop album with no features to ship one million copies.
