I can tell you that every Italian menu is rich of tasty dishes- it depends from where you are and in what kind of restaurant you are.
You will find a more traditional home- made cooking in the trattorie ( and usually the price is cheap).
There are fish dishes in the restaurant specialised or near the sea or the lake.
You can also find some dishes in every menu in a specific area ( if you go in Valle d'aosta you always find polenta).
The name of the dishes are difficult also for an Italian mother tongue. That's why I would like to take a picture of some dishes ( when I go to the restaurant) and give you the name in Italian language...maybe can be useful.
Here the first dishes
Antipasto di mare gratinato
You will find this in the first part of the Italian menu
Ravioli ripieni di branzino
Branzino is a sea fish very light and low fat
Filetti di branzino
gelato ai frutti di bosco
Ok here some names , I gonna give you more soon.
You wanna know if I have eaten all these dishes...this will be a mistery
