Verdict: Horror Saved by Final Act

Story: It Watches starts as we see Andre (Djurovic) who is helping a friend Robert (Irwin) by covering his job for a weekend as a house-sitter. Exploring the massive house Andre documenting the house ready to show his family after his accident.

It isn’t until he has a date with Rachel (van Heteren) that re-watches the recordings and see movement in the background. Before the stranger claiming to be a neighbor Guy (Duval) turns up acting very suspicious. Returning to being alone in this strange house Andre decides that getting high is the smart thing to do which only increases his paranoia but the question remains, is he really alone in this house?

It Watches is a horror thriller that starts off slightly slowly as we try to put our finger on what is going to be happening. Once you put your finger on the direction we are going it becomes a very interesting thriller that keeps you on edge and with a final act that will leave you shocked it is all worth the wait.

When it comes to the acting Ivan Djurovic is the star of the show with most of the fellow stars only having an odd scene doing a solid job with the little time they have. This is one that will be a good watch for the horror fans if you want to wait for the final act you will be rewarded.

Overall: Thriller that just keep getting better as the film continues.
