Two major companies coming to Prince George’s County, Steel Magnolias being remade with an all Black cast, The Family Restaurant closed down using new PGCo legislation, Aerospace and Security companies move to PGCo, Organic Hemp Tea being sold by Temple Hills company

I had the great pleasure of observing Kenny Leon’s creative process as a director at Arena Stage through their First Look program.  He’s a great director and I’m so happy he’s been tasked with directing the Steel Magnolias remake.

Coastal International Security and ATK Spacecraft Systems and Services are both coming to Prince George’s County.  This will mean at least 200 job openings for County residents.  Coastal International will be relocating from Virginia and ATK  has a location in Beltsville. Their new PGCo manufacturing facility will improve ATK’s production of spacecraft thermal control systems

Prince George’s County Public Schools being audited.  Superintendent Hite says he “welcomed the latest audit,” according to this article.  Prince George’s County Public Schools won an award for excellence in financial reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association.

Rock Newman and Paul Tisera have teamed with the B.K. Miller Co. Inc. of Temple Hills to distribute the soft drink , Hi-T,  to 4,000 local stores.
