Look at this picture. This was in June 2012. This was the day Adrian graduated from Pre-K. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was so very proud of him and all he had accomplished that year. To think that in only a few more years, 2025 to be exact, he will graduate high school and be going off to college! How insane is that?
Since the day this picture was taken, my family has grown quite a bit. I went from being a mom of one to being a mom of one, step-mom of two and guardian of one. Life takes some crazy turns. With four kids, aged 12-9, life is expensive and you know what will be more expensive? Four kids in college at the same time!!!!
Good thing JC and I have slowly been getting ready. Not only are we pushing them to get the best grades they can get but we have also signed up for Florida Prepaid College. College costs are rising annually and by the time these 4 are in college, I'm sure tuition will be ridiculous. Thankfully, with Florida Prepaid College, we locked in their tuition rates for Florida schools years ago. Even if they don't decide to attend schools in Florida (hello, the girls who want to go to Stanford), their plans will pay the same amount as the plan would pay a public college or university in Florida. Also, every plan is guaranteed by the State of Florida, so we will never lose our investment!
Think you can't afford it? Well, Florida Prepaid College has different plans to choose from:
The key to saving for college is to start as soon as you can, because your child’s future is coming at full speed. That’s why Florida Prepaid offers two easy and affordable types of savings plans. From the Florida 529 Savings Plan to the Florida Prepaid College Plans, you will be guided every step of the way with options that fit any family and every budget.
