It's Happening Again

I remember as a teenager being shown the WWII documentaries chronicling the atrocities that befell the Jews at the hands of the Nazis.  I remember being grateful for the coming together of countries to rise against the vileness and defeating it.  I can remember thinking that this sort of thing, man's inhumanity to man, would never happen again because we moderns would never allow it.

It is happening again.

It's happening again and the West is ignoring it.  It's happening again and Western powers are largely silent.  It's happening again and we're turning our backs to the horror.

The video that follows is horrific.  It's brutal.  It's evil.  

I'm overcoming my hesitation in posting it because I think it's high time that we stop turning away from what is occurring.  It's past time we quit ignoring what's happening.

I'm not sure how we're going to stop this sort of thing but I do know we're going to have to figure it out.  Evil is rising.  Good should not shrink and sulk away.  Good must meet this evil head on.

Watch it.  To the end.  Then pray, pray hard that we can figure out how to channel the shock, the horror, the anger, the outrage into something productive, meaningful and effective.
