Israeli Prime Ministers who were Terrorists and War Criminals
Why does Israel keep electing terrorists, serial killers and avid proponents of racism, apartheid, ethnic cleansing, genocide and war to its highest offices?

David Ben-Gurion — #1 — Israel's George Washington commanded the ethnic cleansing of approximately 750,000 Arabs during the destruction of hundreds of Palestinian villages in 1948.
Levi Eshkol — #2 — Eshkol presided over the ethnic cleansing of another 250,000 Palestinians.

Menachem Begin — #3 — Begin was the preeminent terrorist in the Middle East, murdering Arabs, Englishmen and Jews ... until Ben-Gurion and Eshkol surpassed him.
Ariel Sharon — #4 — A murderous war hawk, Sharon was responsible for the massacres of civilians at Qibya, Sabra and Shatila.

Yitzhak Shamir — #6 — Shamir, as head of the terrorist Stern Gang, had British and Swedish nobles murdered for seeking peace between Palestinians and Israeli Jews!
Yigal Allon — #10 — Allon served in Special Night Squads which tortured and killed "without compunction."
Yitzhak Rabin — #9 — Rabin signed an order for the children of Lydda to be ethnically cleansed "quickly, without attention to age."
Shimon Peres  — #13 — Peres aggressively pursued nuclear weapons and succeeded in delivering them.
Are there voices we can trust to tell us the truth about what really happened to the Palestinians, and why Israel chose the dark path of ethnic cleaning in 1948 and has pursued it ever since? Yes, we can listen to what the great Jewish intellectuals Albert Einstein and Sigmund Freud said on the subject, and also the great icon of peace, Mahatma Gandhi. I encourage you to read this page, to study the quotes at the link immediately below, then to visit our pages where we reveal what Einstein, Freud and Gandhi said about the tragedy they saw unfolding, and how they explained the Palestinian resistance. There are links at the bottom of this page.
I lived as best I could, and then I died.
Be careful where you step: the grave is wide.
—Michael R. Burch, "Epitaph for a Palestinian Child"
How can we explain Israel's ethnic cleansing of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, followed by a brutal military occupation that has terrorized Palestinian children and their mothers for decades? How can a "civilized" nation like Israel treat human beings like so many insects? Would it surprise you to learn that Israeli prime ministers and other high-ranking officials have called Palestinians "cockroaches" and "grasshoppers" and have even insisted that they are "not really a people" and therefore don't actually exist? Our collection of Zionist Quotes explains why these acts of terrorism occur, in the words of Israel's leaders.

Capsule Bios of Israeli Terrorists with Quotations

Menachem Begin
, the sixth Prime Minister of Israel, was the preeminent Middle Eastern terrorist of his day, until David Ben-Gurion surpassed him. As the leader of the Irgun, he targeted Arabs, Brits and even other Jews for assassination. Begin planned the destruction of the King David Hotel (91 deaths) and the massacre of Deir Yassin (100 to 260 deaths, including women and children). The Irgun's acts of terror were financed by demanding money from Jewish merchants and engaging in insurance scams in the diamond industry. In 1948, Albert Einstein and other prominent Jewish intellectuals wrote a strongly-worded warning to the New York Times, in which they called Begin a racist, fascist and terrorist. In 1970,  Ben-Gurion told Begin's biographer that Begin was "responsible for the assassination of innocent Jews, Arabs, and British."
Menachem Begin once described a massacre as "a splendid act of conquest."
"The Partition of Palestine is illegal. It will never be recognized ... Jerusalem was and will for ever be our capital. Eretz Israel will be restored to the people of Israel. All of it. And for Ever." (Iron Wall p. 25 and Simha Flapan p. 32) Menachem Begin, speaking one day after the UN partition plan was ratified about his denial of any land to Palestinians
"The deterrent power, or in Jabotinsky's language THE IRON WALL, was intended to convince the Arabs that they would not be able to get rid of the sovereign Jewish presence in the Land of Israel."—Menachem Begin (Iron Wall p. 354)
"[The Palestinians] are beasts walking on two legs."—Menachem Begin (see footnote)
Note: "[The Palestinians] are beasts walking on two legs." Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin said this during a speech to the Knesset, as cited by Amnon Kapeliouk, "Begin and the 'Beasts,"' New Statesman, June 25,1982. There is some debate about whether Begin was referring to all Palestinians, or only to Palestinian terrorists. But it hardly matters, since Begin himself was the preeminent terrorist in the Middle East, as pointed out in Albert Einstein's 1948 Letter to the New York Times.
David Ben-Gurion, born David Green in Russia, was Israel's George Washington and its first Prime Minister. He engaged in acts of terrorism, such as the Semiramis Hotel massacre. On January 5, 1948, he and other Haganah leaders blew up the Jerusalem-based hotel, killing 20 and wounding 17. Ben-Gurion was also involved in the King David Hotel bombing and 91 murders. But unimaginably worse, Ben-Gurion presided over the deliberate ethnic cleansing of around 750,000 Palestinian Arabs and the destruction of hundreds of their villages and thousands of homes in 1948. It is impossible to carry out large-scale ethnic cleansing without killing innocent women and children, so Ben-Gurion was guilty of crimes against peace and humanity. Most of the victims were noncombatant dirt-poor farmers who lived in mud huts with their families, had no weapons, and thus couldn't have resisted even if they had wanted to. Ben-Gurion said that "without Deir Yasin there would be no Israel." Most American Christians are unaware that ten percent of the Arabs killed by the Israelis in 1948 were Christian, that ten percent of the Arab property confiscated by Israel belonged to Christians, or that Israel's massacres forced around 100,000 Palestinian Christians to become refugees. Here is an excerpt from Yitzhak Rabin’s memoirs about Ben Gurion: "We walked outside, Ben-Gurion accompanying us. [Yigal] Allon repeated his question, ‘What is to be done with the Palestinian population?’ Ben-Gurion waved his hand in a gesture which said ‘Drive them out!’” (This is an excerpt from Yitzhak Rabin’s memoirs, published in the New York Times, 23 October 1979, in which Rabin describes the conquest of Lydda after the completion of Plan Dalet.)
"Zionism is a TRANSFER of the Jews."—David Ben-Gurion
"Regarding the TRANSFER of the Arabs, this is much easier than any other TRANSFER."—Ben-Gurion
"The compulsory TRANSFER of the Arabs ... could give us something which we never had [even in Biblical times]."—Ben-Gurion
"Jewish power, which grows steadily, will also increase our possibilities to carry out the TRANSFER on a large scale."—Ben-Gurion
"With compulsory TRANSFER we will have a vast area ... I support compulsory transfer. I don't see anything immoral in it."—Ben-Gurion
"It is impossible to imagine general EVACUATION without compulsion, and brutal compulsion."—Ben-Gurion
"Let us not ignore the truth ... politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves ... The country is theirs because they inhabit it."—Ben-Gurion
"Before the founding of the state ... our main interest was self-defense ... But now the issue at hand is conquest, not self-defense."—Ben-Gurion
"We should prepare to go over to the offensive. Our aim is to smash Lebanon, Trans-Jordan, and Syria."—Ben-Gurion
"We must do everything to ensure they [ethnically cleansed Palestinian refugees] never return."—Ben-Gurion
"There are two issues here: sovereignty and the REMOVAL of a certain number of Arabs, and we must insist on both of them."—Ben-Gurion
"After the formation of a large army in the wake of the establishment of the state, we will abolish partition and expand to the whole of Palestine."—Ben Gurion [The Birth of Israel, p.22, Simha Flapan]
"The acceptance of partition does not commit us to renounce Transjordan. One does not demand from anybody to give up his vision. We shall accept a state in the boundaries fixed today, but the boundaries of Zionist aspirations are the concerns of the Jewish people and no external factor will be able to limit them."—Ben Gurion [The Birth of Israel, p.53, Simha Flapan]
Levi Eshkol, born Levi Shkolnik in the Ukraine, was Israel's third Prime Minister. In World War I, he served in the Jewish Legion, which supported the British forces in Palestine. He moved to Palestine and helped build up the Haganah, the Jewish underground organization that helped ethnically cleanse Palestine between 1947-1949. On June 1, 1967, General Moshe Dayan was invited by Levi Eshkol to join an Israeli government of national unity as Defense Minister. Four days later, Israel attacked and destroyed Egyptian air force bases and advance positions in the Sinai and occupied the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, the Sinai and the Golan Heights, as well as the eastern parts of Jerusalem. Another 250,000 Palestinian Arabs became refugees, most of them noncombatant farmers and their families.
"We'll deprive Gaza of water, and the Arabs will leave."—Prime Minister Levi Eshkol [Haaretz, 17 November 2017]
"I want them all to go, even if they go to the moon!"—Eshkol
Yitzhak Shamir
, born Yitzhak Jazernicki in Ruzinoy, eastern Poland, was the seventh Prime Minister of Israel. In 1937 he joined the Irgun Zvai Leumi, an underground Jewish terrorist group headed by Menachem Begin, and was involved in several terrorist attacks against civilians. In 1940, Shamir joined the even more radical Lohamei Herut Yisrael (Israel Freedom Fighters), or Stern Gang, and became its leader. On November 6, 1944, under orders from Shamir, terrorists of the Stern Gang shot and killed Lord Moyne, the British resident minister. In his eulogy for Lord Moyne, Winston Churchill called him a "well-informed friend" of the Jewish people. The Stern Gang took public credit for the execution. Shamir also sent letter and package bombs to British officials. He was twice arrested for terrorist activities by the British and fled to France in 1946. When Israel was established as a nation, he returned and resumed his acts of terrorism against Palestinians. On April 9, 1948, a combined force of Irgun and Stern Gangs committed the brutal massacre of 100 to 260 Arab residents of the village of Deir Yassin. Most of the victims were women and children. The U.N. appointed Count Folke Bernadotte of Sweden to mediate peace between Palestinian Arabs and Israeli Jews. In his first progress report of Sept. 16, 1948, Bernadotte recommended that the U.N. should affirm "the right of the Arab refugees to return to their homes in Jewish controlled territory at the earliest possible date." The following day Bernadotte was murdered in Jerusalem by Shamir's Stern Gang.
"They are as grasshoppers in our sight."—Yitzhak Shamir
Palestinian rioters would be crushed "like grasshoppers."—Yitzhak Shamir, New York Times, April 1, 1988 (and why were they rioting?)
"We say to them from the heights of this mountain and from the perspective of thousands of years of history that they are like grasshoppers compared to us."—Shamir, New York Times, April 1, 1988 (again, why were they rioting?)
"All of the land of Israel is ours."—Shamir (no need to share the land with the insects, evidently)

Yitzhak Rabin,
born in Jerusalem to Zionist settler parents, was the fifth Prime Minister of Israel. In 1941, Rabin joined the Palmach, a unit of the Jewish underground army in Palestine and was deputy commander of the Palmach in 1947-1948 when the group engaged in ethnically cleansing Palestinians (as Benny Morris documented, expulsion of Palestinians in the Lod and Ramle areas was carried out under Rabin’s command). Rabin was the deputy commander of Operation Dani, the largest Israeli military operation to that point, which involved four IDF brigades. The cities of Ramle and Lydda were captured, as well as the major airport in Lydda, as part of the operation. Following the capture of the two towns there was an exodus of their Arab population. Rabin signed the expulsion order, which included the following: "The inhabitants of Lydda must be expelled quickly without attention to age." In all, 50,000 to 70,000 Palestinians were forced to leave Lydda, including multitudes of children, and an estimated 500 Palestinians died on the subsequent Lydda Death March. Within three days the Palestinian city of Lydda no longer existed.
Rabin was a warmonger who as Israel's chief of staff planned the 1967 attack on Egypt. Rabin admitted to Le Monde in a February 1968 interview: "We knew that Nasser did not intend to attack." Rabin's account has been verified by Israeli generals, including Matti Peled:
"The thesis that the danger of genocide was hanging over us in June 1967 and that Israel was fighting for its physical existence is only bluff, which was born and developed after the war."Israeli General Matityahu Peled, Ha'aretz, 19 March 1972
Rabin was famous (or infamous) for ordering Israeli troops to "break the bones” of Palestinian demonstrators (mostly children). Henry Kissinger stated "I ask Rabin to make concessions, and he says he can’t because Israel is too weak. So I give him arms, and he says he doesn’t need to make concessions because Israel is strong” (quoted in Findley’s Deliberate Deceptions, p.199). Rabin once said in the Knesset: "For all its faults, Labor has done more and remains capable of doing more in the future [in expanding Jewish settlements] than Likud with all of its doing. We have never talked about Jerusalem. We have just made a fait accompli [accomplished fact]. It was we who built the suburbs in [the annexed part of] Jerusalem. The Americans didn’t say a word, because we built these suburbs cleverly.”
"We shall reduce the Arab population to a community of woodcutters and waiters."—Yitzhak Rabin (Uri Lubrani, Ben-Gurion's special adviser on Arab Affairs, 1960; from "The Arabs in Israel" by Sabri Jiryas; also published in the New York Times, 23 October 1979)
"We walked outside, Ben-Gurion accompanying us. [Yigal] Allon repeated his question, 'What is to be done with the Palestinian population?' Ben-Gurion waved his hand in a gesture which said 'Drive them out!'"—Yitzhak Rabin (from Rabin's memoirs, published in the New York Times, 23 October 1979)
"[Israel will] create in the course of the next 10 or 20 years conditions which would attract natural and voluntary migration of the refugees from the Gaza Strip and the west Bank to Jordan. To achieve this we have to come to agreement with King Hussein and not with Yasser Arafat."—Yitzhak Rabin (explaining his method of ethnically cleansing the occupied land without stirring a world outcry, quoted by David Shipler in the New York Times, 04/04/1983, citing Meir Cohen's remarks to the Knesset's foreign affairs and defense committee on March 16)

Ariel Sharon
was born Arik Scheinerman in British-ruled Palestine to Russian immigrant settlers. He was the eleventh Prime Minister of Israel. In 1953, he was asked to set up a unit for "preemptive strikes” across the borders. His "Unit 101" spread terror and murderous violence among the Palestinian population, forcing them to flee from their homes and land near the border.
On October 14-15, 1953, under Sharon's command, Israeli squads attacked the unarmed Arab village of Qibya in the demilitarized zone, where they blew up 42 houses and killed more than 60 residents who were trapped inside. The details were so gruesome that the U.S. joined in a U.N. condemnation of the Israeli action, and for the first and only time, suspended aid to Israel in reprisal.
In the early 1970s, Sharon's forces were charged with the task of "pacifying” the recalcitrant Gaza Strip. He imposed a brutal policy of repression, blowing up houses, bulldozing large tracts of refugee camps, imposing severe collective punishments and imprisoning hundreds of young Palestinians. The whole area was effectively transformed into a jail. He then became involved in the settlements project, in founding Likud, and a number of other "achievements.”
Sharon was the architect of Israel’s invasion of Lebanon. He funded and armed mercenary/proxy Phalange forces that committed the massacres at Sabra and Shatila in 1982, for which he was accused of war crimes. More than 2,500 Palestinian women, children and elderly people were slaughtered in cold blood. The dead included babies, children, pregnant women and the elderly, some of whose bodies were mutilated. An Israeli commission of inquiry found that Sharon bore “personal responsibility” for the massacres. The Israeli high court held a number of Israeli military officers, including Sharon, responsible.  Despite this indictment, Sharon was later elected prime minister of Israel. What sort of nation elects serial killers to its highest office?
"There is no Zionism, colonization, or Jewish state without the EVICTION of the Arabs and the expropriation of their lands."—Ariel Sharon

"
Everybody has to move, run and grab as many (Palestinian) hilltops as they can to enlarge the (Jewish) settlements because everything we take now will stay ours ... Everything we don't grab will go to them."—Ariel Sharon (as Israeli Foreign Minister, addressing a meeting of the Tsomet Party, Agence France Presse, Nov. 15, 1998)
"
Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it."—Ariel Sharon (October 3, 2001, to Shimon Peres, as reported on Kol Yisrael radio)
While this may be hard for freedom-loving, independent-minded Americans to believe, as the saying goes, the "proof is in the pudding." Recently, H.R. 4133 passed a deeply divided Congress by the stunning vote of 411 to 2. The bill gives Israel everything it needs to attack Iran, including refueling tankers, special munitions (i.e., bunker-busting bombs) and unlimited sums of money to finance the war and maintain Israel's military supremacy in the Middle East. H.R. 4133 proves that Sharon was speaking the truth.

"
Israel may have the right to put others on trial, but certainly no one has the right to put the Jewish people and the State of Israel on trial."—Ariel Sharon (quoted by BBC News Online)
In 1923, radical Zionist Ze'ev Jabotinsky—spiritual father of the Likud, and Israeli Prime Ministers Menachem Begin and Bibi Netanyahu—wrote that the "sole way" for Jews to deal with Arabs in Palestine was through "total avoidance of all attempts to arrive at a settlement," which Jabotinsky euphemistically termed the "Iron Wall" approach. Not coincidentally, a picture of Jabotinsky graced Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's desk.—The Village Voice, "Death Wish in the Holy Land," Dec. 12, 2001
Shimon Peres became a terrorist by joining the terrorist Haganah group in 1947. As prime minister of Israel, Peres became a nuclear terrorist by creating a nuclear arsenal that allowed other Israeli leaders to threaten the world with nuclear blackmail and the "Samson Option." Peres was also known as the Butcher of Qana for green-lighting a 2001 Israeli atrocity against UN peacekeepers and civilians in Southern Lebanon. Half the 106 people murdered by order of Shimon Peres were children. Why? Robert Fisk later wrote: "When the world heard that Shimon Peres had died, it shouted 'Peacemaker!' But when I heard that Peres was dead, I thought of blood and fire and slaughter. I saw the results: babies torn apart, shrieking refugees, smouldering bodies. It was a place called Qana and most of the 106 bodies – half of them children – now lie beneath the UN camp where they were torn to pieces by Israeli shells in 1996 ... Shimon Peres, standing for election as Israel’s prime minister – a post he inherited when his predecessor Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated – decided to increase his military credentials before polling day by assaulting Lebanon."
Moshe Sharett, born Moshe Shertok in Russian, was the second Israeli Prime Minister. He was a staunch advocate of compulsory population transfer, or ethnic cleansing:
"I have learned that the state of Israel cannot be ruled in our generation without deceit and adventurism."—Moshe Sharett, Israel's first Foreign Minister and later Prime Minister (p.51, Simha Flapan, "The Birth of Israel", 1987)
"The interests of security demand that we get rid of them."—Prime Minister Moshe Sharett
"TRANSFER [ethnic cleansing] could be the crowning achievement, the final stage in the development of [Zionist] policy."—Sharett
"We are equally determined to explore all possibilities of getting rid, once and for all, of the huge Arab minority."—Sharett
Sharett wrote Dr. Nahum Goldmann that "the most spectacular event in the contemporary history of Palestine, in a way more spectacular than the creation of the Jewish state, is the wholesale evacuation of its [Palestinian] Arab population ... The opportunities opened up by the present reality for a lasting and radical solution of the most vexing problem of the Jewish state [referring to the Palestinian Arabs inhabiting area allotted to the "Jewish state" by the 1947 UN Partition plan], are so far-reaching, as to take one's breath away. The reversion of the status quo ante is unthinkable."
He also wrote: "We have forgotten that we have not come to an empty land to inherit it, but we have come to conquer a country from the people inhabiting it, that governs it by the virtue of its language and savage culture .... Recently there has been appearing in our newspapers the clarification about "the mutual misunderstanding" between us and the Arabs, about "common interests" [and] about "the possibility of unity and peace between two fraternal peoples." ... [But] we must not allow ourselves to be deluded by such illusive hopes ... for if we cease to look upon our land, the Land of  Israel, as ours alone and we allow a partner into our estate, all content and meaning will be lost to our enterprise."—Sharett

Sharett apparently did not advocate wholesale slaughter or bloodshed, but it seems that he did support ethnic cleansing, a crime against peace and humanity. Like Yosef Weitz, he was a member of the first, second and third Transfer Committees (i.e., ethnic cleansing committees). Sharett was the draftee of the "Absentees' & Present Absentees' Property Law of 1950" which gave Israel the legal framework to dispossess the Palestinians of their properties in the "Jewish state." He was also responsible for denying the right of return of the Arab refugees
Yigal Allon served briefly as interim Prime Minister following the death of Levi Eshkol on February 26, 1969. He held office until March 17, 1969, when Golda Meir took over. Allon commanded a field unit of the Haganah and then a mobile patrol in northern Palestine during the 1936–1939 Arab revolt in Palestine. During this period he participated in several operations of the Special Night Squads, which specialized in mobile ambushes, under the command of Orde Charles Wingate and H. E. N. Bredin. According to Israeli military historian Martin van Creveld, their training included "how to kill without compunction, how to interrogate prisoners by shooting every tenth man to make the rest talk; and how to deter future terrorists by pushing the heads of captured ones into pools of oil and then freeing them to tell the story." Yoram Kaniuk writes: "The operations came more frequently and became more ruthless. The Arabs complained to the British about Wingate's brutality and harsh punitive methods. Even members of the field squads complained ... that during the raids on Bedouin encampments Wingate would behave with extreme viciousness and fire mercilessly. Wingate believed in the principle of surprise in punishment, which was designed to confine the gangs to their villages. More than once he had lined rioters up in a row and shot them in cold blood. Wingate did not try to justify himself; weapons and war cannot be pure.” The British viewed Wingate as a security risk and the SNS were disbanded in 1938. Wingate was posted out of the country and his passport was stamped "NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER PALESTINE." Field Marshal Montgomery, who as commander of northern Palestine had authorised the SNS, told Dayan in 1966 that he considered Wingate to have "been mentally unbalanced and that the best thing he ever did was to get killed in a plane crash in 1944."
In 1941, Allon became one of the founding members of the Palmach. That same year he took part in the British invasion of Lebanon and Syria. In 1943 he became the Deputy Commander of the organization, and served in this post until 1945, when he became Commander in Chief. As a Palmach commander, Yigal Allon approved the December 18, 1947 attack on the village of al Khisas near the Lebanese border, in which houses were blown up and a dozen civilians were killed. During the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, Allon led several of the major operations on all three fronts, including Yiftach in the Galilee, Dani in the Centre, Yoav, and Horev in the Negev. As Operational Commander of the Southern Command he was responsible for security along the borders with Egypt and parts of Jordan. On June 4, 1949 he ordered that a five-mile-wide zone along the border would be military area in which "all strangers found will be shot without interrogation."
Yigal Allon described the affect of psychological warfare on the Palestinian Arabs in the Galilee panhandle during the 1948 war and explained why Zionist apologists are incorrect when they say Arab armies persuaded Palestinians to flee their homes: "We had ONLY five days left . . . until 15 May [1948]. We regarded it as imperative to CLEANSE [Palestinians from] the interior of the Galilee and create JEWISH territorial continuity in the whole of the Upper Galilee. The protracted battles reduced our forces, and we faced major tasks in blocking invasion routes. We, therefore, looked for a means that would not oblige us to use force to DRIVE OUT tens of thousands of [Palestinians] left in the Galilee ... We tried to utilize a stratagem that exploited the defeat in Safad and in areas cleared by [Operation] Broom: a stratagem that WORKED WONDERFULLY. I gathered the Jewish mukhtars [Kibbutz chiefs], who had ties with the different Arab villages, and I asked them to WHISPER in the ears of several Arabs that a giant Jewish reinforcement had reached the Galilee and were about to CLEAN OUT the villages of Hula, [and] to advise them as friends, to FLEE while they could. And rumor spread throughout Hula that the time had come to flee. The flight encompassed tens of thousands. The stratagem FULLY achieved its objective ... and we were able to deploy ourselves in face of the [prospective] invaders along the borders, without fear for our rear." (Benny Morris, p. 122)
Allon saw the ethnic cleansing of immense numbers of civilians as a very good thing, noting of the cleansing of Lydda and Ramle that the homeless, destitute refugees "clogged the routes of the advance of the [Transjordan Arab] Legion and had foisted upon the Arab economy the problem of "maintaining another 45,000 souls ... Moreover, the phenomenon of the flight of tens of thousands will no doubt cause demoralsation in every Arab area [the refugees] reach ... This victory will yet have great effect on other sectors." (Benny Morris, p. 211 & Israel: A History, p. 218)
Meir Ya'ari, criticized Allon's use of tens of thousands of Palestinian refugees to achieve a military strategic goals, saying: "Many of us are LOSING their [human] image ... How easily they speak of how it is possible and permissible to take women, children, and old men and to fill the road with them because such is the imperative of strategy. And this we say, the members of Hashomer Hatzair, who remember who used this means against our people during the Second World] war ... I am appalled." (Benny Morris, p. 211)
But Yigal Allon apparently did not think ethnically cleanings 750,000 Palestinians in 1948 was extreme enough, writing in an article published just before the outbreak of the 1967 war: "[In] a new war, we must avoid the HISTORIC MISTAKE of the War of Independence [the 1948 war] ... and MUST NOT cease fighting until we achieve total victory, the territorial fulfillment of the Land Of Israel." (Righteous Victims, p. 321)
Definition and Classes of Israeli Terrorism
Two Prime Ministers of Israel were terrorists by almost any definitionMenachem Begin and Yitzhak Shamirsince they directly planned and carried out terrorist attacks against Arabs, Brits and other Jews. If killing civilians for political purposes is terrorism, other Prime Ministers of Israel were also terrorists, such as Ariel Sharon, Ehud Barak and Bibi Netanyahu. If ethnic cleansing is terrorism, then David Ben-Gurion, Moshe Sharett, Yitzhak Rabin and Levi Eshkol were terrorists. If threatening to destroy the world with nuclear weapons is terrorism, "Mother Israel," Golda Meir may have been the ultimate terrorist, and Shimon Peres was the terrorist mastermind who placed an arsenal of nuclear weapons in her hands. If invading another country on false pretexts for political purposes is an act of terrorism, then Ehud Olmert is a terrorist.
Israel's first President, Chaim Weizman, referred to a massacre as this "miraculous simplification of our task."
Terrorism as a Plank of Israel's Political Parties
Israel's largest political party, Kadima (28 seats in the Knesset), was founded by a terrorist, Ariel Sharon. Kadima means "forward!" or "charge!" and is associated with the battle-cry of Israeli army officers. Kadima's platform states that the Israeli nation has a national and historic right to the whole of Israel, and that both Jerusalem and the large West Bank settlements must remain under Israeli control, leaving a potential Palestinian state without a capitol and with much less land for a much larger population. Is that fair?
Israel's second-largest political party, Likud (27 seats), was founded by a terrorist, Menachem Begin, who murdered Brits, Arabs and Jews with impunity. Likud was also the party of terrorists like Yitzhak Shamir and Ariel Sharon (before he left to form Kadima). The Likud's charter rejects a Palestinian state, claims that all Jerusalem belongs to Israel and says: "The Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza are the realization of Zionist values. Settlement of the land is a clear expression of the unassailable right of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel and constitutes an important asset in the defense of the vital interests of the State of Israel. The Likud will continue to strengthen and develop these communities and will prevent their uprooting."
Israel’s third-largest political party, Yisrael Beiteinu [15 seats] describes itself as "a national movement with the clear vision to follow in the brave path of Ze'ev Jabotinsky [the author of the racist, fascist Iron Wall doctrine]." Yisrael Beiteinu was formed by Avigdor Lieberman to create a political platform for Russian immigrants and other Jews who support a hard line in negotiations with Palestinians. In November 2006, Lieberman, who described Arab members of the Knesset who have discussions with Hamas as "terror collaborators," called for their execution. Ahmad Tibi, leader of the Arab party Ta'al, strongly objected to Lieberman's ministerial appointment, describing him as "a racist and a fascist." Labour minister Ophir Pines-Paz, who resigned over Lieberman's appointment, echoed Tibi's remarks, saying that Lieberman was tainted "by racist declarations and declarations that harm the democratic character of Israel." In July 2003, Lieberman said: "It would be better to drown [350 Palestinian] prisoners in the Dead Sea if possible, since that's the lowest point in the world."
Terrorism as the Root Philosophy of Political Zionism
Ze'ev Jabotinsky is the spiritual father of both Likud and Yisrael Beiteinu. Jabotinsky advocated an Israel based on the British imperial/colonial model. In his introduction to The Iron Wall, he said that his attitude toward Palestinian Arabs was "the same as to all other nations: polite indifference." He was a racist and fascist who said that "the answer to this question [peace] does not depend on our [Jewish] attitude to the Arabs; but entirely on the attitude of the Arabs to us and to Zionism." In other words, he could be utterly indifferent to Arabs, but they could not be indifferent to Jews and their aspirations to own and control Palestine, even though the Arabs were by far the majority and had lived in Palestine for many centuries. Here is Jabotinsky's revealing introduction to The Iron Wall: "We cannot offer any adequate compensation to the Palestinian Arabs in return for Palestine. And therefore, there is no likelihood of any voluntary agreement being reached ... [therefore] Zionist colonization must either stop, or else proceed regardless of the native population. Which means that it can proceed and develop only under the protection of a power that is independent of the native population—behind an Iron Wall, which the native population cannot breach. That is our Arab policy; not what we should be, but what it actually is, whether we admit it or not ... And we are all of us [i.e., the Zionists], without any exception, demanding day after day that this outside Power, should carry out this task vigorously and with determination ... If anyone objects that this point of view is immoral, I answer: It is not true: either Zionism is moral and just, or it is immoral and unjust. But that is a question that we should have settled before we became Zionists. Actually we have settled that question, and in the affirmative. We hold that Zionism is moral and just. And since it is moral and just, justice must be done, no matter whether Joseph or Simon or Ivan or Achmet agree with it or not. There is no other morality."
This like me saying that if I want your land, your house, your money, and even your children, I can take them just because I claim it is "moral" for me to possess them. What you think is immaterial. This is pure, unadulterated fascism. According to Jabotinsky, Zionism requires the deliberate denial of freedom, equal rights and democracy to Palestinians, and the use of brute force and acts of terror to usurp their land. While this is obviously terribly unjust, the Zionists claim that it is just, in the same way that the Nazis claimed that it was "moral” and "just” for them to deny freedom, equal rights and democracy to Jews during the Holocaust. Thus, Zionism (or at least this version of Zionism) is a racist and fascist enterprise, like Nazism. Such systems ignore justice and invoke the law of the jungle that "might makes right.”
And so we should not be surprised that Zionism resulted in large-scale terrorism. Terrorism was so common among the more militant Zionists that, while the precise number is still disputed, the Haganah delivered 700 to 1,000 Jewish terrorists into British hands during the 1944-45 period, which came to be known as saison (the hunting season). However, by the end of 1945, Ben-Gurion switched horses and decided to have the Haganah engage in acts of terrorism against the British government. He increased the number of boats trying to break into Palestine in open defiance of the British mandate; in order to increase their chances of success, the Yishuv forces would attack radar stations, lighthouses and the communication systems used by the freshly-arrived 100,000 man British army. To prevent independent action by other terrorist groups, Ben Gurion established the joint Hebrew Resistance Movement (HRM). Its role was to coordinate terrorist operations. Final operation approval rested with the Haganah. The Zionist terrorists were delighted to see the saison replaced by the HRM. The policy reached its peak of effectiveness on June 16-17 when Jewish terrorists succeeded in destroying ten roads and rail bridges, isolating Palestine from its neighbors. On the night of June 28—known as Black Saturday—the British retaliated. British troops, backed by tanks and armor, totally blockaded the Yishuv and began a wide sweep against the HRM. Borders were closed, telephone service stopped, and a night curfew imposed. There were armed searches of the kibbutzim. Kibbutz Yagur was especially damaged, and most of the Yishuv leadership was arrested. Ben-Gurion escaped capture only because he happened to be in Paris. An alarmed Chaim Weizmann—Israel's future first President—demanded an immediate halt of all anti-British violence and got his way after threatening to resign. But the tide had clearly changed, and over the next 60 years (and to this very day), the leading Zionists would use acts of terrorism in attempts to cow Palestinians into submission. Even Americans would not be immune, as Israel's attack on the U.S.S. Liberty demonstrates.
Why does Israel condemn acts of Palestinian terrorism, while committing much larger acts of terrorism itself?

"As long as young people feel they've got no hope but to blow themselves up we are never going to make progress."
—Cherie Blair, wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair
"The Palestinians are fighting with human suicide bombers, that's all they have. The Israelis ... they've got one of the most powerful military machines in the world. The Palestinians have nothing."
—Ted Turner, Founder of CNN
"I do not think that in his heart an Israeli would deny that, if your enemy has taken land that is rightfully yours and occupied it, then not just your enemy's army but his wife and son and daughter and servants and all who, under his protection, come to live and make their living on the stolen land, are aggressors. By their presence they aid and abet the occupation."
—Matthew Parris, Saturday Times of London, June 22, 2002
"Terrorism in Israel really started with Begin and Shamir and later Sharon. It's a very valid question as to why they [Israeli Jews] see no similarities between themselves under the British, and the Palestinians under their occupation."
—Clovis Maksoud, the former Arab League ambassador to the United Nations
"David Ben-Gurion never moved against the Irgun and the Stern Gang until after the state was established and secured, which is definitely not true in the case of the Palestinian Authority. Essentially, the Israelis are asking the Palestinians to do something they themselves refused to do [i.e., renounce acts of terrorism]."
—Hussein Ibish, Communication director of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee
The Unheeded Warning of David Ben-Gurion
On December 18, 1946, in a closed meeting of the political committee of the Zionist Congress, David Ben-Gurion argued brilliantly against acts of terror. He began by saying, "One thing is prohibited under any circumstances—murder. Murder means spilling of innocent blood. Murder! No, I have to tell you that a soldier is a volunteer. I know what it means to be a soldier. The role of the soldier is to kill and be killed for a just cause ... But there is something else that is called murder. And there is not one of us who may permit it, and we may not give anyone permission to permit it, especially when it is done in our name." He then delineated the practical meaning of the decision to fight terror: "We have to seriously think, not here and not in the Congressional assembly, because this means not only words and declarations ... If Congress takes a stand against murder, we will have to make sure that within our ranks there will no be one who would want to help with money, speech-making or providing moral justification to murder in any shape or form ...We are still based ... on a moral principle. We may not undermine it.
Terror boomerangs regardless of the perpetrators, Ben Gurion warned."The murder [that was done by the Arabs] in 1936 was first directed against the Jews ... But eventually it became directed against the Arabs themselves. In the last period of the organized murder by the Mufti, 300 Jews were killed. According to our information—and we do not have all the information—1,000 Arabs were killed by murderers sent by the Mufti. Do not say that this happened with the Arabs but will not happen with us. It must happen with us and it has already happened with us. With us it would be even worse than with them. In the case of the Arabs, the perpetrators were separate gangs organized by the Mufti. He had money and capabilities, but the Arab masses were helpless ... With Jews, it would be entirely different. It would be worse," he cautioned.
But David Ben-Gurion did not heed his own warnings, because he either supported massive ethnic cleansing of Palestinian Arabs, or allowed it to happen on his watch without reprimand. And massive ethnic cleansing always results in the premature deaths of completely innocent women and children. And to cause the premature death of an innocent person unjustly is, in a word, murder. So Ben-Gurion himself became a mass murderer of innocents.

July 2, 1946: The King David Hotel in Jerusalem was bombed, killing 91 people.
Menachem Begin, who was later awarded the Nobel Prize for peace, is the same man who planned the destruction of the King David Hotel and the massacre of Deir Yassin. Ex prime minister, Shamir, was originally a member of the Jewish terrorist gang called Irgun, which was headed by none other than Menachem Begin. Shamir later moved over to the even more radical "Stern Gang," which committed many vicious atrocities.
Shamir himself has defended the various assassinations committed by the Irgun and Stern gangs on the grounds that "it was the only way we could operate, because we were so small. So it was more efficient and more moral to go for selected targets." The selected moral targets in those early days of the founding of the state of Israel included bombing of the King David Hotel and the massacre of Deir Yassin.
April 9, 1948: A combined force of Irgun and Stern Gangs committed a brutal massacre of 260 Arab residents of the village of Deir Yassin. Most of whom were women and children. The Israeli hordes even attacked the dead to satisfy their bestial tendencies. In April, 1954, during Holy Week, and on the eve of Easter, The Christian cemeteries in Haifa were invaded, crosses broken down and trampled under the feet of these miscreants, and the tombs desecrated. The Israeli military conquest, therefore was made against a defenseless people, who had been softened up by such earlier massacres as Deir Yasin (where 250 Arabs; men, women and children were massacred).
The Jew, Weizman, referred to the massacre as this "miraculous simplification of our task," and Ben Gurion said that "without Deir Yasin there would be no Israel." Americans are not told that ten percent of the Arabs killed by the Israelis in 1948 were Christian, and that ten percent of the Arab property confiscated belonged to Christians. Nor are they told that Israel's massacres and military actions forced 100,000 Christians to become refugees.
Accounts by Red Cross and United Nations observers who visited the scene said that the houses were first set on fire and the occupants were shot down as they came out to escape the flames. One pregnant woman had her baby cut out of her stomach with a knife. Reminiscent of the acts committed by their brother Jews in Russia during and after the Bolshevik (Jewish) takeover. The head of the International Red Cross delegation in Palestine, Jacques de Reynier, drove into the village and was met by a detachment of Irgun terrorists. In his report of the massacre the previous night, he wrote: "All of them were young, some even adolescents, men and women armed to the teeth: revolvers, machine-guns, hand-grenades, and knives, most of them still blood-stained. A beautiful young girl with criminal eyes showed me hers (knife) still dripping with blood, she displayed it like a trophy."
May 1948: The U.S. appointed Count Folke Bernadotte of Sweden to mediate between the Arabs and the Israelis. In his first progress report (of Sept. 16, 1948) he recommended that the U.N. should affirm "the right of the Arab refugees to return to their homes in Jewish controlled territory at the earliest possible date." The Israelis responded in their own quiet way. The following day Bernadotte was murdered in Jerusalem.
Responsibility for the spectacular assassination, which caused an international outcry, was claimed by an unknown group, "Fatherland Front," which was actually a cover for Shamir's Stern Gang. Yoshua Zeitler and Meshlam Markover of Stern told Israeli television in 1989 that they respectively directed and led the operation that killed the Swedish diplomat and his French aide-de-camp. Zeitler, 71, said he decided to speak now because of fear that the U.N. and the "goyim" (non-Jews) are again trying to force Israel into concessions.
February 1949: Israel launched an offensive across the Armistice lines with Egypt which brought its forces to the Gulf of Aqaba, occupying the Palestinian police post of Umm Rashrash which they afterwards named Eilat.
1950: Israelis seized the Al-Uja de-militarized zone on the Egyptian side and Baqqara on the Syrian side, expelling their Arab inhabitants and razed their homes to the ground by bulldozers.
1950-1955: Israeli forces unleashed more than 40 acts of armed aggressions against Arab states, almost all causing a heavy loss of life. This included attacks and massacres in Qibya, Huleh 1953, Nahalin, Kfar Qassem in 1954, Gaza and a Syrian outpost on Lake Tiberias in 1955.
October 14-1 5, 1953 — Under the command of Ariel Sharon, Israeli squads attacked the unarmed Arab village of Qibya in the demilitarized one. Where they blew up 42 houses and killed more than 60 residents who were trapped inside. The details were so gruesome that the U.S. joined in a U.N. condemnation of the Israeli action, and for the first and only time, suspended aid to Israel in reprisal.
July 1954: Israeli intelligence planted "a ring of spies (moles)" in Cairo. Its task was to begin sabotage operations against selected Egyptian, British and American targets. On July 14, the Alexandria post office was fire-bombed, and the U.S. Information Agency offices in Cairo and Alexandria were damaged by fire started by phosphorous incendiary devices, as was a British-owned theater.
Members of the spy ring were caught, and they confessed. They had been planted by Modin, the Israeli military intelligence organization. The purpose, presumably, was to sabotage Egyptian relations with the U.S. and Britain. Various commissions of inquiry into the affair conducted in Israel were never able to decide whether or not Israeli Defense Minister Pinchos Lavon authorized the operation.
1956: Squads of Israeli soldiers committed a hideous atrocity in the Palestinian village of Kafr Qasim, 47 innocent people were shot down in cold blood. The careful and premeditated mass murders, never received great attention in the West. Although the Israeli courts convicted eight soldiers of murder, they were all released within two years of their trial, and within three years one of them who had been convicted of killing 43 Arabs in an hour, was engaged by the municipality of Ramleh as the "officer responsible for Arab affairs in the city." In October 1956 Israel, backed by England and France, attacked Egypt to gain control of the Suez Canal.
Taking advantage of the situation created by Egypt's decision of nationalization of the Suez Canal, Israel joined forces with Britain and France to invade Egypt. As a result, it occupied the Sinai Peninsula, seized the Gaza Strip, and Sharm Al sheikh which guarded the Strait of Tiran and the entrance to the Gulf of Aqaba. a year letter it withdrew reluctantly under the combined pressure of the U.N., U.S.A. and the Soviet Union.
There was no military necessity for this destruction; it was sheer vengeance against Arab Christians. This action created another 300,000 Arab refugees, thus making a total refugee population of Christian and Muslin Arabs, which is larger than the combined populations of Montana, Nevada and Wyoming. It was during this campaign that the Israeli's attacked the U.S.S. Liberty with the death of 34 of its number. If this had been an Egyptian or a Russian attack, American would have been at war, but the Jewish vote of America silenced any American criticisms of this action. Americans are also not told that Israel has always refused to obey any mandate of the United Nations. Resolutions affirmed by vote every year since 1948 recognize the right of the return of Palestinian refugees, but Israel always refuses to obey. Israel has been condemned over and over again for breaking the charter and now fulfilling the conditions upon which she was allowed to become a member!
1960-1962: Israeli forces attacked Syrian villages on Lade Tiberias and brought death to hundreds of Arab civilians.
1966: Squads of Israeli soldiers raided the Jordanian village of Sammu, they killed 18 civilians, wounded 100 others and demolished 130 houses including a school, a clinic and a mosque.
1967: The U.S.S. Liberty was deliberately attacked in international waters as it monitored communications during the Six-Day War. Israel used U.S.-donated equipment to jam the ship's S.O.S., hoping to sink it and murder all aboard before word could get out. 34 sailors were butchered and 170 wounded in this blatant Act of War. The Liberty was part of the Sixth Fleet, a powerful group of men and ships paid for by U.S. Taxpayers to protect the Israeli's. What do the Jews think of our American Service Men, the descendants of the men who pulled their chestnuts out of the fire in World War II?
June 5, 1967: Israeli committed its biggest, most treacherous and premeditated aggression against Egypt, Syria and Jordan. After destroying Arab aircraft on the ground in a lightening attack, Israeli forces invaded and occupied the rest of Palestine, that is, the West Bank, Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem, the Syrian Golan Heights and the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula. In the first days of its aggression and in plain disregard of the truth, Israel fabricated a charge of aggression against its victims and presented it in a dramatic manner to the U.N. Security Council. Western media spread this fabricated story and the whole world sympathized with the supposed victim. In 1967 the Israeli's made a third ruthless blitzkrieg attack upon the Arabs. This time they deliberately destroyed three quarters of a million dollar's worth of church property.
The great deception practiced by Israel on the U.N. and the whole world is now completely discredited, the Israelis, therefore, changed their tactics and rely nowadays on the argument that, they were NOT attacked by Egypt, they were in danger of BEING attacked, and hence they resorted to a so-called pre-emptive strike. Alan Hart quotes a former Israeli Director of military intelligence as telling him "if Nasser had not given Israel the excuse to attack the Arabs, Israel would have invented a pretext for war within six or ten months" because its military planners had decided that the time had come to knock out vast amounts of mainly Soviet-supplied Arab armor. Yitzhak Rabin, who as chief of staff planned this attack told Le Monde in February 1968, quite simply: "We knew that Nasser did not intend to attack."
February 15, 1968: Israel invaded PLO bases in Karamah, on the eastern bank of the River Jordan with helicopter-borne troops and tanks. Three hundred commandos fought off 1,500 Israeli soldiers and force them to retreat. The battle lasted all day and into the evening. Although the village was totally destroyed, the Palestinian defenders repelled the Israelis and inflicted heavy casualties among the invaders. By the Israeli account, they lost 28 soldiers and 90 were wounded.
1969: The Israelis distinguished themselves by committing a horrible crime, in retaliation of attrition war across the Suez Canal, Israeli war planes raided an Egyptian school "Bahr al Baker" in southern Egypt killing 75 children and wounding over 100.
August 1969: An Israeli set fire to one of the most sacred Islamic shrines. Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, causing extensive damage to it. This crime plunged over one billion Muslims throughout the world into the deepest anguish.
March 12, 1970: Israeli forces invaded part of South Lebanon known as "Fatah-Land" killing a number of Palestinian and Lebanese civilians.
September 8, 1972: Without any apparent cause or reason, Israeli Phantoms bombed Palestinian targets in Lebanon and Syria in a series of raids killing hundreds of civilians. This action was explained by the Israeli prime minister the next day, who in the Knesset, that "Israel had now adopted a new policy to strike at the terrorist organizations where ever we can reach them."
February 21, 1973: Israel landed commando units on the coasts of the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli. They attacked two Palestinian refugees camps, dynamited several houses and buildings, some over the heads of their occupants, killing 35 refugees and wounding a similar number. On the same day, Israeli war planes shot down a Libyan Civilian Aircraft over the Sinai Desert killing over 100 passengers.
April 10, 1973: Israeli commando units with the help of some Lebanese collaborators stormed into a residential quarter in East Beirut and killed three PLO leaders: Yusef Al Najjar, Kamal Adwan and Kamal Nasser.
1974: Israeli air-borne commando units attacked Beirut airport and destroyed 13 Lebanese civilian aircraft on the ground.
In the same year, Israeli planes intercepted a civilian Syrian aircraft and forced it to land at Lydda (Lod) airport on suspicion that it was carrying a Palestinian commando leader. Christian shrines in Jerusalem were subjected to several acts of aggression and robbery. This included damaging the church of the Holy Sepulchre, burying four other Christian centers, and stealing the diamond Crown of the Virgin Mary.
1975-1980: Israeli's intelligence service, the Mossad, distinguished itself by feats of terrorist actions that killed a number of Arab and Palestinian diplomats, scientists and journalists such as the PLO representatives in London, Rome, Paris and Brussels, prominent Palestinian journalist and writer Ghassan Kanafani and the Egyptian nuclear scientist Dr. Al Mashad.
1981: Putting their so-called pre-emptive policy in action, Israeli warplanes raided and destroyed a peaceful Iraqi nuclear reactor near Baghdad.
June 6, 1982: The Israeli armed forces invaded Lebanon. Less than two weeks after its election, the New Menachem Begin government unleashed the first blow in its war to liquidate the PLO in Lebanon.
June 1982: Israeli forced launched their savage invasion of Lebanon. As a result of this invasion a great number of refugee camps, Lebanese towns and villages were destroyed. Israeli warplanes launched eight raids on Palestinian targets in South Lebanon and Beirut, killing nearly one thousand people and wounding many others. The fantasy of the "pre-emptive strike policy" was dropped and even the Jerusalem Post correspondent was at pains to explain the purpose of the bombing raids. "The past few days of activities on the northern border followed five weeks of quiet. It is not know what triggered Israeli's Friday afternoon raid." Outraged by Israel's onslaught and the cruel destruction of Beirut, Jewish journalist Jacobo Timmerman called Begin "unbalanced" a "terrorist" and "a disgrace to the people." He accused Sharon of helping to make Israel "the Prussia of the Middle East.&quo t;
July 17, 1982: U.S. supplied F-4 and F-5 jets swooped low over Beirut in 4 passes, bombing the densely-populated Fakahani district. Five tall apartment buildings were destroyed, 200 people were killed and 800 wounded. Forty percent of the victims were small children, and one of the survivors was an unborn baby pulled by doctors from the dead mother's womb. Israel's then Chief-of-staff Rafael Eitan announced on Israeli Radio that civilian causalities were unimportant and that the Arab causalities suffered as of the July 17 attack did not yet constitute the Israeli "final solution."
September 1982: Israeli raids and bombardments continued during the weeks following the raid on Beirut in July. It was the beginning of the invasion of Beirut; after which an 80 days war led by Ariel Sharon, (then War Minister of Israel) resulted in the destruction of much of Beirut, killing and wounding thousands of Palestinians and Lebanese civilians. It was during this invasion that the massacre of the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps was committed. Where over 2,500 Palestinian women, children and elderly people were slaughtered in cold blood. Even the Israeli high court held a number of the Israeli military officers, including Sharon, responsible.
October 1982: Israeli terrorists bombed the houses, cars and offices of three elected Palestinian mayors on the West Bank, Nablus, Ramallah and Al Beireh.
1984: Israeli warships and gunboats intercepted merchant ships on the high seas off the coast of Lebanon and kidnapped a number of Palestinians.
1985: Israeli planes raided and destroyed the PLO headquarters in Tunis.
1986: Israeli secret agents assassinated a noted Palestinian cartoonist Naji Al Ali, in London.
April 1988: Israeli commando units stormed into the house of Khalil Al Wazir, in Tunis. Al Wazir who was the most senior PLO military commander and believed to be in charge of the Intifada, was murdered while sleeping.
February and March 1989: Israeli F-16 planes pounded Palestinian targets in Lebanon's Shouf Mountains, Damour and the Beka's valley with a series of raids killing a numbers of civilians, including 15 school children in Damour.
April 14, 1989: Israeli border guards and settlers attacked the peaceful and unarmed village of Nahalin near Bethlehem. Eight Palestinians were massacred for no reason and over 50 were injured. The killings took place late in the night and at the beginning of the Holy month of Ramadan.

ISRAEL: FOUNDED ON TERROR
by the Rev. Ted Pike
March 25, 2008
Zionist-dominated mainstream media vividly portrays Israel as a tiny embattled nation seeking peace in a sea of Arab hostility. [1] Arabs, we are told, commit acts of terror while Israel only resorts to violence out of self-protection. The facts of history paint a very different picture.
Far from deploring terror, Israel has sanctioned terror to seize and expand its territory since its beginnings. In 1944, Zionist leaders in Israel faced two alternatives. They could continue to allow the British and Arabs to occupy Palestine , who would continue to pressure Israel to concede a Palestinian state. Or they could drive both British and Arabs out. Israelis chose the latter.
Members of the Zionist ruling elite and their clandestine terrorist enforcers—the Jewish Agency, Hagana, Irgun and the Stern Gang—began to exert every possible terrorist means to dominate Palestine . Their strategy was simple: the more respectable Zionist establishment would take the "high road" and officially disavow terrorism. Meanwhile, Zionist terrorists would commit any crime needed to disrupt British occupation and to panic Arabs into flight. The Encyclopedia of the Palestine Problem, available in most university libraries, documents from British records more than five hundred violent or terrorist incidents against Palestinians and the British occupation between 1939 and 1948.  These included bombings, booby traps and landmines, kidnappings and torture of prisoners, bank robberies, murders of Arabs, and assassinations of police and British officials. [2]
Chief terrorists were David Ben-Gurion, Menachem Begin, Yitzhak Shamir and later, Ariel Sharon. Begin headed Irgun, and Shamir led the Stern Gang. They cooperated intimately with the highest political body of the Zionist establishment, the Jewish Agency, and the popular Zionist resistance army, Hagana. Ben-Gurion headed Hagana and later the Jewish Agency. [3]
After 1944—when Ben-Gurion formally rejected the British plan for partition of Palestine into Jewish/Arab states—most Israelis, particularly the young, favored expulsion of British and Arabs.
Here is the short list of Zionist atrocities from 1944 to the present:
• Assassination of Lord Moyne on November 6, 1944 . Under orders from Yitzhak Shamir, terrorists of the Stern Gang shot Lord Moyne, British resident minister.  Purpose: To drive the British from Palestine .
• The King David massacre, July 22, 1946 .  Begin's Irgun terrorists, with encouragement from Ben-Gurion’s Hagana, blew up the King David Hotel in Jerusalem , murdering 92. Purpose: Destroy British records that proved the highest members of the Zionist government backed anti-British terrorism. 4
• British sergeants hanged, July 12, 1947 . Begin, Shamir, and Haganah authorized kidnapping and hanging of two British sergeants, booby trapping their bodies and mining the area. During this time, Shamir sent many letters and package bombs to British officials. 1947 also included multiple cases of kidnappings (including brutal floggings of British soldiers) by Jewish terrorists.
• The Semiramis Hotel massacre, January 5, 1948 .  Jewish Agency leader David Ben-Gurion and Haganah leaders blew up the Seramis Hotel in Jerusalem , killing 20 and wounding 17.  Purpose: Terrorize Arabs into fleeing Israel . 5
• Deir Yassin massacre, April 9, 1948 .  Begin’s Irgun soldiers killed 250 sleeping Arab villagers at Deir Yassin, a suburb of Jerusalem .  "25 pregnant women were bayoneted in their abdomens while still alive.  52 children were maimed under the eyes of their mothers and then were slain and their heads cut off."  6 "…Menachem Begin, the leader of the Irgun gang, himself admitted on December 28, 1950 in a press interview in New York, that the Deir Yassin incident had been carried out in accordance with an agreement between the Irgun and the Jewish Agency and Haganah." 7 Begin was always proud of what he had done, considering Deir Yassin a legitimate military target.  Irgun trucks drove throughout Judea , announcing by loudspeaker to hundreds of thousands of Arabs that unless they fled Israel they would meet the same fate.  Deir Yassin and subsequent terrorist acts precipitated flight of more than 800,000 Arabs from Palestine . In town after town Zionist soldiers drove Palestinians out, usually killing any person who delayed or attempted to take any possessions with them. Arab towns were bulldozed, replaced with Jewish communities. 8 Begin comments on the level of Palestinian terror generated by Irgun’s massacre at Deir Yassin. "Out of evil, however, good came. This Arab propaganda spread a legend of terror amongst Arabs and Arab troops, who were seized with panic at the mention of Irgun soldiers. The legend was worth a dozen battalions to the forces of Israel .” 9 Israel exiled these unfortunates to concentration camps in Lebanon , the West Bank , and Gaza , refusing to allow them repossession of their land and property or adequate compensation. 10 This is the seminal cause of international Arab terrorism and the Mid-East conflict that rages today.
• Assassination of UN mediator Count Folke Bernadotte, September 17, 1948 .  This killing by the Stern Gang was on orders of Shamir. Purpose: To sabotage UN efforts to create a Palestinian state.
• Massacre at Dawayma, October 29, 1948 . Israeli soldiers killed between 80 and 100 men, women, and children in Dawayma, a suburb of Haifa . Purpose: Intensify terror generated by Deir Yassin and compel the remaining Palestinians to leave Israel. 11
• Massacre at Kibya, October 14, 1953 .  In an atrocity condoned by the highest levels of the Israeli government and military, Ariel Sharon led 700 crack paratroopers to attack the Jordanian town of Kibya .  They slaughtered 75 innocent men, women, and children primarily by locking families in their homes and blowing them up. 12 Purpose: Collective punishment to avenge the alleged killing of a single Jewish family.
• Massacre of Kafr Kassim, October 29, 1956 .  51 men, women, and children were murdered by Israeli troops as they returned to their villages in the evening after work.  13 more were severely wounded by the gunfire.  Purpose: Terrorize Palestinians into not siding with Egypt in case of war. 13
• Massacre of USS Liberty, June 8, 1967 .  Israel 's jet fighters and torpedo boats repeatedly attempted to sink US intelligence monitoring vessel USS Liberty during the 1967 Israel/Egypt war. They killed 34 and wounded 171 American sailors. Purpose: Minister of Defense Moshe Dayan ordered the attack ostensibly to protect Israel 's intelligence communications, even though the war was virtually over. 14
• Libyan airliner massacre, February 21, 1973 . Straying over Israeli-controlled Sinai air space, a Libyan 727 commercial airliner was intercepted by Israeli fighters and, despite the clearest identification, shot down, killing 106. Purpose: Flexing Zionist power against Libya . 15
• Massacre in Sabra and Shatila refugee camps, Beirut , Lebanon , September 23, 1982 .  Gen. Ariel Sharon and Yitshak Shamir, in cooperation with "Christian" Phalangist forces sealed all exits and provided aerial flares, illuminating the slaughter of up to 2,750 men, women, and children, according to a body count by the committee of the Red Cross. Purpose: collective punishment of Palestinians. 16
What About Arab Terrorism?
It was inevitable that Zionism’s threatened and actual expulsion of Arabs from land the Arabs occupied from the seventh century should incur hostility—even terrorism. Jews of Hebron were massacred by Arabs in 1929. The Arab revolt in Palestine beginning in 1936 resulted in acts of violence against many Jews, followed by anti-Jewish mistreatment during the 1948 war. Suicide bombings and rocket attacks continue against Israel in recent years.
Who is most at fault? Consider this: If someone, claiming divine right to occupy your house and land, drives you from them, condemning you and your children to a distant, arid concentration camp for generations, would you resort to violence?
There is only one word that describes the one who displaced you. Aggressor. The Palestinians, fanatical and terrorist as many have become, are nevertheless defenders of ancient rights and territories that have been horrifically violated. They are victims hitting back.
Becoming "Civilized" Terrorists?
During the past 40 years, Israel's continuing atrocities are justified as "collective punishment" of the Palestinian people. Israel’s attack on Lebanon in 1982, described by Israel as such punishment, killed over 19,000 innocent men, women and children. Under Sharon’s invasion of the West Bank under Sharon in 2002, whole villages were attacked with Hellfire missiles from Apache helicopters, with occupied homes shelled by tanks or bulldozed over. 4,185 Palestinian men were seized, beaten, jailed. The number of dead is still uncertain since Sharon would not allow western observers to document the aftermath. 17 Israel's present policies in the West Bank and Gaza, routinely killing large numbers of innocent men, women and children, remain full of atrocities.
I have also written about one of the greatest atrocities Israel still indulges in: the systematic and fiendish torture of many thousands of Palestinian prisoners, incarcerated, most without trial, in Israeli prisons. 18
After leaders of the Third Reich committed atrocities against the Jews during World War II, they were tried, hanged and buried, both physically and under the contempt of humanity.  The opposite happened to the bloody and arrogant terrorists of Israel. Ben-Gurion, Begin, Shamir, and Sharon were all elected to leadership of the nation. This reflected the anti-Palestinian, terrorism-friendly mentality of many Israeli voters. 19 The Encyclopedia of the Palestine Problem documents, from United Nations records, more than 650 attacks by Jewish settlers and the Israeli military against Arabs between 1948 and 1998. 20
Shamefully, evangelical Christians have given uninterrupted support to Israel’s terrorist leaders. Evangelicals believe God brought to birth the state of Israel by divine assistance at every stage. Actually, statehood (i.e. expulsion of the British and Arabs) was made possible by massacre—starting at Deir Yassin. Yet there has never been an atrocity in Israel searing enough to alienate Christian idealism, or even prompt criticism from major evangelical leaders.  Dr. Jerry Falwell said Begin was a "man of God." George Bush described Sharon as a "man of peace."
What kind of a god would establish a nation on terror? A god who is as evil as the devil.

10. Israeli propaganda says Palestinians did not flee because of pressure from Israel. Rather, Arab leaders, fearing Palestinians would be caught in crossfire between Jew and invading Arab armies, encouraged them to find temporary shelter in Lebanon and Jordan. It says that, considering their lack of loyalty to their ancestral lands and property, as well as the newly created state of Israel, they are worthy of neither repatriation, repossession nor reimbursement. Instead they should have been assimilated by wealthy Arab nations. The fact that millions remain in virtual concentration camps is the fault of the uncaring Arab world, not Israel. Israel also contends that after 1948 its hundreds of Jewish settlements were built, not on previous Arab villages, but on barren lands the Arabs had been too lazy to develop. Evangelicals accept these lies unquestioningly.

Einstein on Palestine ... Why did Albert Einstein turn down the presidency of Israel, and what did the great Jewish intellectual, peace activist, pacifist and humanitarian have to say about the conflict between Israeli Jews and Palestinian Arabs?
Einstein denied any superior rights for Jews, calling for "complete equality" for Palestinians, saying: "The most important aspect of our policy must be our ever-present, manifest desire to institute complete equality for the Arab citizens living in our midst ... The attitude we adopt toward the Arab minority will provide the real test of our moral standards as a people." Only cooperation with Arabs, led by "educated, spiritually alert" Jewish workers, he wrote, "can create a dignified and safe life." He also said, "What saddens me is less the fact that the Jews are not smart enough to understand this, but rather, that they are not smart enough to want it."

I concede with sorrow that the baseless fanaticism of our people is in part to be blamed for the awakening of Arab distrust. ― Sigmund Freud

If we are to have real peace in the world,
we will have to begin with the children.
