Absolutely stoked to have received an email this week confirming that I have been accepted into the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers! It still feels a little unreal and when I hit 'send' on my application, I half-thought I might not hear anything back.
So, I am absolutely delighted yet, at the same time, humbled to be listed alongside some of the UK's, indeed, the worlds, best wedding photographers. Not a bad way to round off 2016!

What is the ISPWP?
The International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers is an organization of the best wedding photographers in the world. Created by professional photographers to raise the standards of the wedding photography profession, we showcase only the best of the best. But how do we differ from other online photography listings?
Uncompromising Quality
Our membership cannot be bought. Unlikely many photographer directories, our admission process is tough. We're picky. We believe wedding photography is a skill that is not honed by simply owning a camera. Our ISPWP members have displayed excellence in wedding photography far beyond that of amateur photographers. Our process for application is methodical and unwavering, and many are turned away. We can say with no hesitation that the ISPWP showcases the best wedding photographers in the world.
Our Stringent Vetting Process
Each ISWP candidate is required to go through an extensive application process. The requirements start with at least 50 weddings photographed as the lead photographer (assisting or second-photographer duties do not apply to this criteria) but goes much further. We also require 2 personal recommendations and a portfolio review of 3 full weddings by our ISPWP review panel as well as a website review. This panel comprises of award-winning photographers from all over the globe. The panel must agree on acceptance. In addition, our members must agree to and abide by our Code of Conduct. Each member is held to our ISPWP standards of both photographic excellence as well as displaying high ethical standards in their work practices and customer care.

With an ISPWP photographer you will have peace of mind that the photographer whose work you love is a photographer who loves their work. Being a wedding photographer requires a different kind of skill that many photographers shy away from. Beyond being masters at their craft, they have to deal with varying venues and lighting situations, working with many personality types, and they have to get it right the first time. Our ISPWP photographers are immensely proud that the work they do captures memories for people that last their lifetime and beyond. When you hire an ISPWP photographer you're investing in a photographer who believes passionately in the documentation of your wedding day for future generations.
That's where the ISPWP comes in. We screen and review every member before their application is accepted. When you hire an ISPWP photographer, you can be confident that they have years of experience, they have shot a LOT weddings in a wide variety of situations, and they subscribe to a professional code of conduct. They truly are the best in the world and each one of them has dedicated their professional lives to their craft.
