We’re very proud to present the latest from New York power duo Isle of Rhodes – a brand new music video for “Shoulders” from their recently released, self-titled EP. The signature, nostalgic sound of the Rhodes keyboard (namesake of the band), Rob Farren’s reimagined pop-punk vocals and Colin Berham’s cymbal-infused drum fills prove that even the smallest ensemble can create a truly grand effect. “Shoulders” captures the bittersweet feeling of a coming-of-age tale, the repetitive theme, “youth is fleeting”, coming back with underlying instrumental variations each time. At certain points, “Shoulders” is a romantic ballad about companionship, while at other points, it’s a torrential anthem recognizing the mortality that comes with growing up. While “I will die, I will die, for you, for you” might be a somewhat haunting hook, stay tuned for the end of the music video. Hope will be restored, I promise.
