Islamic Fashion Festival Debuts in Manila

By Kaidarul @KaiDarul
As the wide demand for modest clothings is growing, the Islamic Fashion Festival takes a further step in the fashion industry. The IFF debuted in Manila last February 2012 with participation from eight (8) designers from all over Asia. Three of the Philippine's most celebrated designers participated in the said event - JC Buendia, Veejay Floresca, and Jun Escario.
This is a sign of a start of an Islamic fashion and faith forward Philippines. We all know that Philippine fashion industry cater mostly to the people who does not incorporate fashion modesty. With the emergence of the said event, more people would be engaged in the said industry to cater the needs of Muslim fashion enthusiasts.
Models sauntered down the runway in the eight designers' take on Islamic fashion. Sheathed in a variety of silhouettes and garments—pantsuits, caftans, and body-hugging gowns—in all sorts of delicious colors and fabrics and lovely embellishments, they were proof-positive that baring skin isn't necessary in attaining high style.
