Puberty is a condition where there is a physical transformation from child to teenage, who is able to reproduce. Multiple hormonal and structural changes happen in this stage. Certainly it is a complex process. Height is more dependent on the growth of bones than other things. Kids can grow taller, until there are open growth plates of bones. If the bone maturity of a person is ahead of his age, that means they finished growing earlier. The relation between height and hair growth is debatable.

As a child grows and becomes an adult, various changes are taking place in his body in a predictable manner. Each and every person does not follow the same pattern, but events happen in the similar order. In the middle of stage 4, growth of chin hair and hair above lips occur. By that time, most of the teenagers have reached their major growth. Legs have grown to their maximum height and trunks grow at a slower rate. In late stage 4, muscle mass growth occurs. Broadening of shoulders occurs later in stage 4. Muscular muscles, broad shoulders, pubic hair are the signs, which indicate that you are at the end of growth. That means when you are at the end of growth, growth plates start to close. Section of bone, which generates maximum growth is called growth plates. Once these plates get closed, nothing can happen.

A child’s growth depends on many factors and these factors determine will he or she become tall or short as an adult. One of the most important factor which has influence on height is the genes, which are inherited from parents.

Genetics plays very important role in your growth. There is a relation between parent’s height and child’s height. There are chances you become short or average, if your parents are short or average. Likewise, you can become taller, if your parents are tall. You can grow till the age of 18. Even the height of members of same family varies. Hair growth actually does not have an impact on height. Well nutritious diet that includes proteins, vitamins, carbohydrates, minerals is also necessary for growth. Kids who eat an inadequate diet are more likely to grow poorly. Hormones also have an effect on a child’s growth.

Connection between hair growth and height

There is no actual connection between facial hair growth and height. Facial hair is related to testosterone, not the bone growth. During puberty, a child’s body transforms gradually into an adult’s body. Emotional and physical changes occur in between 10 to 16 years. Growth of body hair, including facial hair and increase in height are some of the common changes. During puberty, height increases due to testosterone hormone. Furthermore, the chest hair increases due to DHT, which is by product of testosterone. That means when teens reach puberty, as testosterone increases both chest hair as well as height increases. Pubic hair development occurred during puberty is related to physical growth, such as weight and height. Hair under arms and on face grow, when the puberty stage starts.

So, hair growth and height growth are two totally different things. Still, many people believe that there is some correlation, but scientifically it is not proven yet.
