Huawei proudly announced Ascend P6 as the world’s thinnest smartphone. But is it really so?
The Huawei Ascend P6 is said to be the world’s thinnest smartphone, with only 6.18 mm thickness and only 120 grams weight. The device has a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and a shiny metal body. With a 4.7-inch high definition display, 8MP back camera and a 5MP front-facing camera and excellent software, the Huawei Ascend P6 is elegant, functional and stylish; thin enough to fit in small pockets or handbags.
Believe it or not, this phone is no longer the slimmest smartphone in the world! The new record is only 5.6 millimetres to be exact! That is 0.6 mm thinner than the Huawei Ascend P6, and the phone which broke the world’s record is Chinese Umeox X5. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is 7.9 mm thick and the iPhone 5 is 7.6 mm thick.
The dimensions of the UMeox X5 are said to be 118 x 60 x 5.6 mm, this phone will have dual core processor, 3MP front camera and 8MP camera on the back, along with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. This summer, the X5 will be available in France.
