It looks like Tesla has started shipping the 2021 Model X, and the EV comes with a lineup upgrade. Recently, a man bought a 2021 Tesla Model X and shared an image of the EPA Monroney sticker that shows a range of 371 miles. This guy is a member of the Tesla Motors Club and uploaded the image to the same platform.

A Monroney sticker is commonly referred to as a window sticker, which contains information like fuel mileage, greenhouse ratings, cost reduction rating, etc. In the United States, all new vehicles must have this Monroney sticker.

"I just took delivery of a 2021 Model X, wine 308XXX, and was surprised to see that the EPA Monroney sticker shows range at 371 miles. The EPA does not have the Model X 2021 listed on fueleconomy.gov. My car is equipped with the new H version battery. I wonder if the 371 mile rating is due to a change in chemistry in the cells of the 18650 from Japan, "the Tesla owner wrote as he posted the image.

However, he added that he still had not fully charged his Model X Long Range Plus and that by extrapolating the total range turned out to be 351 miles. He said it might be updated to 371 miles with a software update.

Tesla has yet to update its website for the 2021 Model X

The 2020 Tesla Model X comes with a range of 351 miles. Although Tesla may have given it a range upgrade for 2021, it still advertises the 351 mile range on its website. Maybe, there are some paperwork that the electric vehicle manufacturer is going through before updating the website.

Either way, there's a range increment of almost 20 miles, which is about a 5% increase over the previous model. Panasonic, which supplies the 18650 cells, said in a statement that it will improve the energy density of those cells by 20% over a period of 5 years. It appears the company has already taken the first step of its goal.

If we look at the past few months, Tesla has made some major improvements to its electric cars. Recently, the electric vehicle maker made several announcements regarding Tesla Model S. Now it looks like it's Model X's turn to get upgrades.
