Dambagalla Police arrested a Inspector attached to the Mahiyanganaya Police Training School following a complaint that he had assaulted a woman during a dispute regarding a by road last Tuesday (9).
Police received a complaint regarding this assault on April 16 when the policeman went on holiday to his home in Weliyaya in Moneragala.
The Police Inspector also filed a complaint saying the women also assaulted him with the help of another man. Police arrested both of them and they were released on bail. They will be produced in court on May 19.
