Introduction to Myprotein

By Hellofreckles @tashajsteel
Protein is a whole new game for me and something I guess I've steered away from through a lack of knowledge. That's where Myprotein come in. They stock a range of products to benefit you in a range of ways, whether you want to build muscle or be able to recover quicker and better following running and training.
I was given the opportunity to try out some of their products, so I've selected some that I genuinely wanted to try and some I would be tempted to buy myself. Dried fruit is something I'm always snacking on, so these huge bags of dried mango and super berries immediately appealed to me.I had to steer myself away from the peanut butter, 'cause I totally could've gone to town on that stuff.

Protein pancakes, now these sounded like an interesting idea and being chocolate flavoured, I thought that surely it was a safe bet? Turns out it was a very good choice. Mix 50g with 100-150ml of milk or water (I used water) then use the batter to make pancakes. I got 3 pretty decent sized pancakes from 50g with 120ml of water for reference. The chocolate taste isn't too overpowering and I ate my pancakes with a serving of the mixed super berries. If only I had the time to make breakfast like that every morning!

I was sent a little sample packet of the strawberry and banana protein smoothie and the cutest little bottle to drink it from. I've not yet tried the smoothie but I'll be sure to report back when I do. Now I know how good the pancakes were, I've got high hopes for the smoothie to taste just as good!

Do you add protein to your diet or drink protein shakes? I'd love to know your thoughts.
