Interview OOTD

By Amogere14

Happy Friday loves!

Thought I’d share with you all what I wore for an interview I went to today. To be honest, it has been quite a while since I last did a face-to-face interview. I always wonder what to wear to interviews as you always want to portray a positive image about yourself. From my knowledge, focus should be on the interview and it’s outcome. Nevertheless, my sister and I had a discussion yesterday about it and we came to the conclusion that it is also advised to wear clothes that are memorable and stand out. Sounds a little contradictory there, no?

For this interview, I thought I’d stick to my neutrals. For me, neutrals are not necessarily actual neutral color palettes likes beiges and nudes but black, white and cobalt blue (you may/may not know that this is my FAVOURITE color in the world). Being a lover of fashion, I also thought that I’d inject a bit of my personal style into what would otherwise be a formal business outfit. I went for a classic black midi pencil skirt, mid-heel court shoes (mentioned in this post), a cobalt blue button down shirt, a striped blazer and my trusty structured black handbag that goes with almost everything (see here, here and here). I might add that my legs ended up freezing seeing as today was quite cold and chilly. Freeze and shine, loves.

PS – I know I’m a taking a while on the natural hair post but I am working on it. Hoping to have it up by next week! Thank you for your patience. :-)

Blazer – Primark (old); shirt – George; skirt and bag – H&M; earrings – Primark; shoes – Forever 21

Photos taken by my sister Jackie unless otherwise stated. :-)

Have a great weekend loves! Keep warm and be safe.
