Last year on International Women's Day, we were days away from New York (and the world) shutting down. No one could have foreseen what would happen in between. It's made me think of the power of women.
The women who became teachers in addition to working a 9 - 5 job. The women who are the reason their families had food, even when there were shortages across the country. The women who reinvented themselves in quarantine and launched new careers. The women who were always there for their family and friends while fighting their own battles.
Women have always been resourceful, but this past year we've quite literally turned lemons into lemonade. It's nothing short of amazing.
So, this International Women's Day especially, I'm applauding all women. We've risen above in a year that could have brought us down. There's so much I could say, but I'm leaving it there.
Go me. Go us. We're extraordinary.
