The Inter-Club Sevens 2022 which was scheduled for April 23 and 24 has been cancelled due to the prevailing situation in the country.
But the training for the national sevens squad will continue at the Sugathadasa Stadium.
The selection of the national sevens squad, which will go on to take part at the Commonwealth Games Rugby Sevens in England and Asian Games rugby Sevens in China will take place later this year.
The trials will take place on April 23 and 24 while the squad of 56 selected players has been divided into four teams. All players will be housed at the Sugathadasa Stadium hostel.
However, the Sri Lanka women’s squad is yet to be finalized.
