Thandai Powder Video Recipe

Thandai is a very popular drink in North India made with a combination of nuts and spices, very refreshing and summer cooler drink.

We can use this thandai powder by mixing in a cup of milk along with sugar. Garnish with rose petals and dry fruit slivers. Serve chilled.or If you are making a lassi with thandai powder, add thandai mix into lassi & flavored with saffron, dry fruits and rooh afza.

You can store the thandai masala in a sealed glass container in the refrigerator for about 4 to 6 months or 1 month on room temperature. Make sure you put on the lid again tightly, after using the powder.

Also make sure your spoon is dry, while putting it inside the jar to take out the powder.

INGREDIENTS

INGREDIENTS :

Almonds - 10 piecesCashew nuts - 8 piecesMelon seeds - 1 tbspBlack pepper corn - 8 to 10Fennel seeds - 1 and 1/2 tspGreen Cardamom - 4 podsSaffron a pinch

INSTRUCTIONS :

1. Roast the nuts - almonds, cashew-nuts and melon seeds on a low flame till the melon seeds pop up about 3 minutes.
2. Then on the same pan without flame ON roast the black pepper corn, fennel seeds and green cardamom.
3. Once the dry fruits cool down, then add everything into a grinder jar by adding a pinch of saffron. Grind it to a coarse fine powder. 4. Remove from the grinder and Store masala into a air-tight container for future purpose.
