Instant Idli | No Soaking No Fermentation Idli | Idli with Idli Rice Rava

Happy new year to all , I wish and pray for success and prosperity to follow in this new year .
Let me start my fisrt post of this year with a healthy note.We all know steamed food and that too if it happen to be idli its very good and healthy.But making idli need a batter which invloves a long procedure of soaking,grinding and fermenting.Many people complain for not getting soft idli and hence they avoid making the batter at home.

Here I am with an idli recipe which require no soaking,no grinding or fermenting.Yes its very simple ,just mix up the batter keep for 5mins and its ready. Make this easy idli recipe and feed your family with healthy breakfast/dinner.

Prepartion time : 10 mins
cooking time 15 mins
makes : 10 idlis

Ingredients

  • Idli rava- 1 cup
  • poha/aval-1\2 cup ( thin variety)
  • yogurd/curd- 1 cup (sour curd)
  • bakig soda- 1\4 tsp ( optional)
  • water-as needed
  • salt- to taste

1.Coarsely powder the poha.Add curd to it and keep for 2 mins.

2.Add idli rava to it.Add in salt and baking soda.add water and make a dropping consistency batter.Keep for another 2-3 mins.


3.Grease idli pan , pour batter into it and steam cook it.


4.When done remove from heat and demould from the idli plate.

serve hot with sambar,chutney or both.
