Inspiring Women

Over the past several months, I have discovered more and more women who are doing amazing things with their lives. These women are strong, they are powerful, and they are changing the world.

It is because of amazing women like this that I’ll be launching a new project. For the next year, I’ll be honoring one amazing and inspiring woman a month.

From now until March 31st, I’m requesting nominations from you for amazing and inspiring women in your life. The women or group of women you nominate can be doing something wonderful on the internet, for the country, for your community, for their community, for their or your neighborhood/church/family – they can be someone  whose name or project I would know, or someone who myself and the rest of the world doesn’t know yet.

Here’s the criteria:

  1. Identifies as a woman.
  2. I need to be able to reach this person (or people) via phone or email.
  3. They should be doing something that inspires you.
  4. Whatever they are doing makes lives around them better (this can reach from their family to the world wide web).

Here’s what happens:

One week each month, I’ll suspend my regular blogging to highlight this amazing woman or group of women. I’ll conduct an interview with them, ask you to write something as their nominator, ask them to write something about what they are doing, and promote ways for others to get involved with what they are doing. They’ll also receive a gift from me at the beginning of the week.

Here’s what I need from you:

  1. Their name(s) and contact information (phone, email, and mailing address).
  2. Your name(s) and contact information.
  3. If there is information online for what they are doing.
  4. Why they inspire you.

My hope is that I’ll have at least 12 nominees, but the more women nominated, the longer this can go.

You and your nominee will be contacted on April 1, 2014 if you have been chosen, and I’ll let you know then during which month the nominee will be honored. You’ll receive additional information as the specific month gets closer. (If you would like a specific month from April 2014 to March 2015, please include that on the nomination form.)
