#InspireMonday: A Blessing

By Dr Gbenga Adebayo @dradebayo

Happy Monday!

Today what I have in my heart is a blessing for you.

26 And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, 27 and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how.  Mark 4:26-27 (NKJV)

I made a realization recently. If you are a child of God and all that you have achieved in life is proportional to your direct efforts, something is not right. I took a look at some key events of my life and I see the hand of Jehovah at work. I cannot not boast of knowing how they happened. They all happened “sweatlessly”  by the favor of the Lord. One thing led to another and they all happened: my admission to a university I didn’t choose in my JAMB, my change of course to Medicine in that same university, my career path, my foundation in Christ and ministry, family, traveling within and outside Nigeria, and on and on. I can say like the psalmist that the lines simply fell in pleasant places and I have a goodly heritage.

In this month of March, I pray for you that the miracle and blessing of sweatless increase be yours. The seed grows and yields a harvest even though the man that plants it may not know how. What He does for one, He can do for all.

Happy New Month.
