Everyone knows that I’ve recently come to terms with my inner hippie. I’m all “Peace, Love, and Flowers” now. On our recent trip to the Finger Lakes we had the chance to visit a unique winery that embodies all that is “Peace, Love, and Happiness”. Inspire Moore winery in Naples, NY made us feel right at home. We even let Zoe come along for the ride.
Inspire Moore Winery and Vineyard
Inspire Moore winery and vineyard is located in Naples, NY right on Main Street. Owned and run by Tim and Diane Moore, this Finger Lakes staple quickly became one of my favorite places. Tim and Diane have 5 kids (sometimes you can run into 1 or 2 of them working in the winery) and their pictures make up the labels for the wine bottles. This winery is all about family and when they told me that they include pets in their definition of family, well, that just about skyrocketed them to the top of my list.
Wine tasting
The winery tries to be as eco-friendly as possible. They compost all of their grape pomace left over from the annual harvests. They also use phosphate and chlorine-free cleaners and compost and recycle as much as they can. This great display in the shop features the soils in the Finger Lakes region and gives a brief education on why the wines here are so tasty. Fertile soils make great grapes and great grapes make fantastic wines.
Finger Lakes Dirt
Kenin and I spent the afternoon sampling wines in the warm and inviting space. Zoe had her fill of palette-cleansing crackers, but sadly for her, she wasn’t allowed to drink any wine.
Can I have a taste?
The winery also has a small shop that features trinkets and decor like these beautiful star-shaped lanterns. There seems to be a bit of everything to enjoy here at Inspire Moore winery and vineyard.
Hippie love atmosphere
This cozy winery is a must-visit when you are in the Naples area. I highly recommend doing a tasting of some of their wines.
One more for the road
With names like Inspire Moore Love, Inspire Moore Peace, Inspire Moore Wisdom and Inspire Moore Grace, you can plainly see why this winery just gets under your skin and forces you to be bright and chipper. A glass of great tasting wine, some friendly conversation with the locals, and Zoe at our feet snacking on crackers made for the perfect trip to the Finger Lakes.
