I’ve recently shared about a golden year theme for the upcoming 50th Anniversary Gala I’m planning for work. I feel that a common hurdle many event coordinators face when decorating a traditional event venue is making a ballroom not look so much like, well a “ballroom”. The easiest solution is to add lighting and draping than can enclose high ceilings and bring a coziness to open spaces. With the look of the event based on a color scheme, the way to incorporate the 50th anniversary element is by creating lounge areas in the cocktail reception and silent auction room, that match a specific era. Time is quickly going by, and there’s still way to much on my to do list to get done.
