Inner City Kids Vs Inner City Cops – Black Lives Matter AND Cops Lives Matter

By Jay Montgomery @jaymontgomery

Last year I was honored once again to work with Brad Jubin at APIVEO on an initiative to help bring peace and understanding between the urban community and the police that help protect and serve their city. I designed the logo and created the first poster of The Safe at Home Game which is a self-officiated baseball game that will be played between The L.E.A.D. Ambassadors and the Atlanta Police Department.

This time last year police killings of blacks were all in the news and sadly they are more so than ever today. I truly believe that one can be pro #blacklivesmatter and pro #copslivesmatter at the same time. There are thugs and bad cops in the USA that are a BIG problem, but the overwhelming majority blacks are decent law abiding citizens and the overwhelming majority of the police force do their job fairly and justly to help keep our cities safe and make tough, but right decisions in a split second on a daily basis. This is why now more than ever we need to come together as a community to support events like Safe At Home Game. It's vital to ours kids and our future as a community to lift up those that are doing right in the world and show everyone that we all can truly can get along. The 2nd annual Safe At Home Game will have even more meaning and need in this Atlanta community and all of this great and free country we live in.

So PLEASE come support the second annual Safe At Home Game played on August 6th, 2016 at GA Tech Russ Chandler Baseball Stadium! Our Kids, Our Cops, Our City!!
