Inforgraphic And March On The Little BackPacker

By Littlebckpacker @littlebckpacker

This year I started a new feature of rounding up my month with an infographic. I used to write up a monthly summary when I was travelling and living abroad however now I’m back in the UK living even know its not in my hometown I stopped with the summaries. Lately I’ve been missing having the summaries to look back over and remind myself about the month, so I’ve decided to add some more to this post, not only is it the infographic but a write up of my month including; highlight and lowlight, popular blogs I’ve written, favourite blogs I’ve read, best photo I’ve taken and more…

This month has been a good month for working hard and playing hard. I managed to squeeze in 9 days of travelling around the North of Scotland and a super fun hen do weekend while only taking five days off work. On the blog this month I have been recapping more of what I got up to on the Gold Coast in February as well as starting to write about my Scotland Roadtrip.

Highlight Of The Month

This is a toss up between two things: Visiting Sandwood Bay and going to my first ever Hen Do. So i’ll tell you a little about both. Sandwood bay is 4.5 mile hike from the nearest road and lies on the north west coast of Scotland. We had been recommended by several people to visit it. After realising we would have to hike, we debated it but thankfully decided to go for it! The result was a fairly easy hike with a magical beach at the end (pictured above), I never expected to find such a beautiful place in Scotland. The Hen Do was in the New Forest, Hampshire (where I’m originally from) and split over two days. I unfortunately missed activity one – Go Ape – because my silly flight got cancelled however I did get to go for afternoon tea in the cutest tearoom in Bournemouth. The best part of the weekend was the following day when we went to Sen Spa at Careys Manor Hotel – it was the best spa I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to a few. So many facilities and just extremely relaxing.

Lowlight Of The Month

Apart from my flight being cancelled the lowlight this month has to be losing one of my jobs. I’m a nanny for three different families however one of them let me go this month and now I’m in need of more work to hit full time hours again and be able to save for travelling.

There will be a lot more blogs about my Scotland Roadtrip including all the stats, photo essays and some accommodation reviews. I’m off to Greece the first week of April so expect to hear about what I get up to there too. There may even be another story from my week on The Gold Coast in Australia.
