If I were ever granted one wish, I would not ask for all the riches in the world. Nope, I would ask for more time in the day. Sometimes it seems the harder I try to stay focused the more things get messed up. Has this ever happened to you? (I hope you answered yes) LOL!
Don’t you wish there was some kind of magic potion or super app to keep us focused and on schedule? I hope there is some genius out there trying to figure one out. In the meantime, here is an infographic that shares ten simple time management tool to keep you focused.
That’s a great list right? The one that works for me and I recommend is keeping a to-do list. When you see the task in front of you, it’s a constant reminder to get it done. And you’ll have a feeling of accomplishment as you cross off the items as the day goes by.
I’ll always remember what I was taught in corporate America. As good as technology is, computers can still crash. And today we can add smartphones because those can also break. That’s why I prefer to write down important tasks on my desk calendar as well as my daily calendar to jot down important notes and deadlines.
I like the idea of using a recorder to take notes. This would be great to go back to not only to record our thoughts but for bloggers it could open up a slew of new content ideas.
The one item I feared would be on this list is getting up earlier. This one is a challenge for me, but I know it would be more effective. If you have trouble getting up in the morning, let me share what I found that might help.
- Decide on a specific time you want to get up.
- Set your clock 15 to 20 minutes ahead.
- Set your alarm clock 15 minutes ahead.
- Get a good night’s sleep. Turn in earlier than you normally do.
- Find something that will motivate you to get up early such as a potential new client or business prospect.
