Inexpensive and FRESH Centerpieces for the Holidays.

By Homesmsp @HomesMSP

It is a busy time of the year with a lot of entertaining going on and everyone wants their table to look nice. But the time to pull it together is tight and purchasing a centerpiece can be expensive.

Here are a few tips that are inexpensive and fresh. And when I say fresh I mean FRESH!

I love decorating a table with edible items. Nature is full of color and you can eat the centerpiece when you are done.

One easy item is Cranberries.

I just paid $4.00 for 2 bags of cranberries so they are extemely inexpensive and there are a ton of ways to use them.

Let these pictures be inspiration for you this holiday season. They will work for either Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Let's add in another food item with lots of texture.....mixed nuts!

And this is one of my favorites that I came up with. Set this on your table for a wonderful centerpiece during your meal.

Place the nut cracker right there as part of the centerpiece. Encourage your guests to dig in when dinner is over! What a great way to linger after dinner.

If you need a quick touch of whimsy elsewhere in your home add some cranberries to any bowl, vase or candle holder.

And if you will have a beverage or refreshment station when entertaining, make a centerpiece that again will be useful. Take out a lime to a add squirt to a beverage, an orange for the rim of glass.

So  look in your pantry and refrigerator to see what you have! Let your creative juices flow......think outside the box.

And please, share your ideas here or post pictures. We can inspire each other!

And most importantly.....may you all have a very peaceful and blessed Thanksgiving and Holiday Season.
