It's been a long time since I have taken a more spontaneous vacation, but a last minute trip to Indy was made. Indy is one of the few places left in a decent driving distance from Detroit that we have yet to conquer.
Another part of the inspiration for this trip comes from one of my bucketlists that had yet to be revealed. Revolving restaurants or restaurants in towers offer spectacular views of the city, have become a must to many of the places I have visited. Indy features the Eagles Nest, a revolving restaurant at the Hyatt, and the closest one to Detroit that I had yet to visit.
We booked a room at Union Station which is still an active train station and it offers rooms inside actual train cars! It has a great location downtown and was within walking distance to everything we wanted to do.
Some of the stuff on the agenda included the NCAA Hall of Champions, Indy Zoo, Indy Brew Bus, and the Mind Tripping Show! We also did a couple of extra things like doing a honey wine and hard cider tasting at New Day Meadery and going up the Soldiers and Sailors Monument to the observatory deck!
Photos from this trip can be expected to come once I get up to date!
