Hey Robert is there actually any hard evidence that says Caucasians had pointy noses to warm the air before it reached their lungs? If so, why don’t Mongoloids have a nasal bridge? They should since they were in a an icy environment as well. Maybe the reason why Caucasians have pointy noses is due to sexual selection or the founder effect?

I believe that Julius Pokorny, the great Indo-Europeanist, suggested that. I reprinted that in one of my papers on Proto-Indo-European, and that paper was shown by a famous linguist friend of mine to an Indo-Europeanist in Europe, I think in Germany. He sent me an email that more or less called me a dilettante (which I am of course) and advised me to not write about things you are not an expert in (but of course that is what dilettantes do by definition). He also poured cold water on the tall nose warming up the air theory and said it was now considered debunked among Indo-Europeanologists.

Also you can find some very tall and pointy noses among Horners on the Horn of Africa and some Arabs. Those are very warm locales.
