Incorporating Florals into Your Spring Wardrobe

By Savoir_style @Savoir_Style
If there is one trend that is synonymous with spring, it is the Floral Print. Whether it was the retro silhouettes of 2011, the digital florals of 2012 or the 60’s style florals of 2013, this is one trend that never fails to reinvent itself.
In 2013, it is back taking the form of appliqués, embroidery and high art. Erdem’s standout floral designs were three-dimensional and neon, while Dolce & Gabbana focused on dainty and romantic prints.

Here’s how you can incorporate this trend into your spring wardrobe:
1. Invest in a distinctive piece  I bought a floral blazer that I wear with denim, dresses and skirts. The key is to keep the floral piece in focus and create outfits around it.
2. Mix & Match Prints  Team up the floral print with other prints like Polka dots, Stripes or Leopard print. Take cues from Just Cavalli’s spring 2013 collection where Leopard and floral prints were paired so effortlessly.

3. Go for the head to toe floral look
If you think you can carry it off, don’t be afraid to wear clashing floral prints together. Be mindful of the color family when you decide to take the plunge.
4. Accessorize
The simplest way to incorporate this trend into your spring wardrobe is using accessories. A floral handbag, heels, jewelry or scarf are the easiest way to keep up with this trend.
Which floral look are you a fan of?  Have a great weekend, you guys.
