In the Train

Continuing to study portraiture.
These days, I worked from a photograph I like. It has been taken while K and I where in the train, in Paris suburb, quite some time ago.
I think we were both enjoying this moment, being transported, and having nothing else to do but dreaming and enjoying each other's company.
Here it is :

   I used pastel for this portrait. It's been a while since I took out my boxes full of chalks and my pastel sets. I worked on a sanded paper on which I applied a first layer of acrylic paint : I bought this paper a very long time ago and happen not to remember which brand it was... a pity, as I liked it very much: it allowed a progressive painting process, several generous layers, and some corrections. I know what to look for on my next shopping tour.
