In Chrome for Android, You Can Bring Back Closed Tabs in Bulk. But the Option Must Be Turned On.

With active use of the browser, many tabs accumulate over time, and the options for mass closing them save a lot of time - Chrome has a separate "Close all tabs" function, and a cross for grouped tabs. However, on Android, both of these options are irreversible, and you won't be able to undo the action. Fortunately, the developers nevertheless provided for the necessary option, but so far it is hidden in the experimental settings. This article explains how to enable and use it.

How to enable the option to undo closed tabs

It will only be possible to return closed tabs if the desired function has already been enabled. It's off by default, so if you're reading this article to open closed Chrome tabs, you won't be able to. But you can do something useful for the future.

  1. Update Chrome to the latest version. The option we need is available in the stable version of the application, no Beta or Canary build is required.
  2. Enter the following link in the address bar and follow it - you will be taken to the menu for developers:
    chrome://flags
  3. In the search field enter Recent Tabs Bulk Restore is the name of the option we need.

  4. Activate it by selecting the Enabled mode (default is Default).
  5. Restart your browser by clicking on the Relaunch button that appears. Or do it manually by unloading the app from memory (rather than just minimizing it).

Now in the Recent Tabs section of the three-dot menu ( ) will also display massively closed tabs, including grouped ones - it will be possible to restore them all together.
