In and Around London... The NFL In London 2012

By Lwblog @londonwalks

Monday is mute on the London Walks Blog (well, almost mute) – because Monday is the day when we post five images captured in and around London by London Walks Guides, London Walkers and Facebook friends. Collated on a theme or an area, if you've got some great shots of our capital and want to join in send your pictures to the usual address.
And so to Wembley for
the St Louis Rams vs. the New England Patriots.

Fireworks for the entrance of the St Louis Rams

Tom Brady (No.12) finds a pass in something of a rout for the Patriots – they ran out 45-7 winners

It's nice to know we made a difference – there were four of us in our party!

P.S… an extra shot of The Likely Lads. It's The Tucker Boys (that's Sam on the left with pa David on the right) blocking their ears to avoid hearing the Green Bay Packers result over the tannoy – they were going to watch the game later and didn't want the outcome spoiled… (Older readers and British sitcom aficionados will recognize our Likely Lads reference – one of the best loved episodes of 1970's BBC sitcom Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? (1973) entitled No Hiding Place, sees central characters Terry and Bob trying to pass an entire day avoiding the result of an England football match because they want to watch the highlights on TV later that night.)
