Important Interior Designing Tips to Make Your House Look Beautiful

By Amelia White

I have a lot of respect for the interior designers and all their hard work that they put into their designed spaces. It in fact takes a very special eye to be able to pull any room together and make it functional and fantastic, all at same time. That being said, it is not possible for everyone to hire an interior designer and get design guidance for their home. Some of you reading this article would want to make your own design decisions making use of your own preferences and style.

So, how can you make the interiors beautiful from boring without spending anything on a professional interior designer? Here are a few tips for you to help you start organizing and designing your rooms into a space, which you thought until now that only a designer could make. Follow the tips and you will start to notice your neighbors and friends sneaking a peek into the contact list of your phones looking for the designer’s number. Whether you wish to jazz up the interiors or make it look like a luxury hotel, the following tips will surely help you.

Use three shades or colors

Choosing a color scheme for your home is the toughest part. Color is a very personal thing and creates moods. Always go for colors that call to you. I won’t tell you what colors to select, but I’ll tell you to try a mix of three shades or colors. One must be the main color for the walls, another for the large accents like chairs and couches and then the third color must be for the ones, which pop in smaller accessories like knick knacks, pillows and flowers. A combination of three shades is always better than one or two. A room in one color looks boring.

Add texture

Texture is equally important like color if you want a single color scheme in your room like all-grey or all-white with three different shades of gray or white. The room at a first glance may seem like a single color scheme but when looked closely, you will be able to notice the different shades of the same color and a verity of texture via textiles/fabrics.

An all-white room can have plush velvet chair, rattan chairs, shiny silky cushions, woven baskets, linen draperies, nubby cotton sofa with faux fur blanket on side and a nicely woven carpet. All these elements please the eye and add texture to the room creating a rich, warn environment. Make sure there is no stain mark in these elements especially the carpet. If you find any kind of stain mark, call in a cleaning professional for removing the stains from the fabrics. If it’s a stain mark on your carpet, make sure you do carpet patching. Consider textiles which suit your lifestyle.

Use baskets, decorative bowls and trays

Designers love using decorative bowls, trays and baskets for arranging collections or loose products, which require a home. You can add a glitzy tray to your ottoman, side table or coffee table and place a few books, a beautiful candle or some colored stones to make the room look more glamorous. For a rustic look, try the woven baskets-they can hide plenty of clutter.
