Leora Brown School in Corydon, Indiana is such a unique small town attraction–and I’d wager you’ve never even heard of it!
Just off the downtown and down a few roads, you’ll discover the sweetest yellow building. It’s not a home but it was once a school, the only standing segregated school for African Americans that remains in Indiana. Amazing that it is found not in a big city but in the town of Corydon, Indiana.
This is such an important site with a fascinating history. If you’ve read my previous article about the Leora Brown School here on little Indiana, then I hope this prompts you into a visit. If this is your first brush with this school, please refer to the link for the article a few paragraphs above.
