The Ilyushin Il-14 (NATO name: Crate) was a Soviet twin-engine commercial and military personnel and cargo transport aircraft. First flown in 1950, more than 1,300 were produced as a replacement for the DC-3/Lisunov Li-2 aircraft in use. This was also one of the first Soviet aircraft to be widely exported (30+ countries). Today only three Il-14 remain airworthy in Russia. This example spent its life in the Soviet Air Force, retired in 1981 and gifted to the Aeropark museum where it now wears the colors of Malév. MALÉV Hungarian Airlines was the flag carrier of Hungary from 1946 until 2012.
