Body found in burning car

Illegal gaming now policed to make way for new slots

A person’s bullet-riddled body was pulled from a burning car at 1100 Fort Washington early Wednesday morning.  It seems the fire, which took place in the parking lot of the Berkshire Apartments at 1100 of Palmer Road in Fort Washington, was not intentionally set.  The police are unsure of the sex or race of the person found in the car.

County police are taking sledgehammers and going after the more than 2 dozen illegal casinos and gambling rackets now since legislative proposals are being head that would bring high rolling gambling establishments to the National Harbor and Rosecroft Raceway.
