According to IIIM recruitment 2020 latest notification, the selection will be based on following criteria.
- The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
- The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for short-listing the candidates.

PhD (science) in microbiology / biotechnology with two years of relevant experience
Work experience in BSL-3 containment facility. Research experience related to mycobacteria, bacterial pathogenesis, generating mutants, microbial immunity and screening of compounds for the drug discovery as evidenced by publications in peer reviewed journals/ patents

Senior Scientist- Intellectual Property Management
- M.E./M.Tech. (chemical engineering / biochemical engineering) with three years of relevant experience; or
- Ph.D (science). in chemical sciences/ biological sciences with two years of relevant experience; or
- Ph.D.(engg.) in chemical engineering / biochemical engineering
- Post graduate degree/ diploma in IPR/ patent with experience in claim structuring/ IP ownership/ administration agreements and/or commercialization.
- Candidate needs to have good writing and oral communication skills with computer literacy.

- M.E./M.Tech. (chemical engineering/ biochemical engineering/ biotechnology); or
- Ph.D. submitted (science) in chemical sciences/ biological sciences
- Post graduate degree/ diploma in management/ business development related areas.
- Experience in industrial/ institutional business development activities such as liaison with different stakeholders, business negotiations, drafting of MoUs, technology transfer, contract management and financial management.
- Candidate needs to have good writing and oral communication skills with computer literacy.
