As per the latest updates, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) examination form filling date for the December term has been extended. Students can now fill out the exam forms till 15 December 2020. In order to fill the December term exam forms, students have to visit ignou.ac.in the official website.
December term end exams for Indira Gandhi National Open University are scheduled for the first week of February 2021. The assignments, projects and field work journalism for the same has to be submitted by 15 December 2020. Students can submit the assignments either online or offline, as per their convenience.
As per the official notification, the admit card for the IGNOU December term exam will be released approximately ten days before the exam starts. The students, who were due to appear for the June term end examination but could not appear due to any reason, are automatically permitted to appear in the December term. Students who didn’t apply for the June term can also appear by filling out the December term exam form and paying a fee of 150 INR per course.
As per the official notification,
“The students who registered for the Term End Examination, June 2020 (held in September 2020), their examination fee shall be adjusted against the examination fee payable for the Term End Examination December 2020.”

Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns in place, the June term exam was conducted in the month of September. Many students, because of restrictions, could not appear in the exams. Therefore, the notification further reads that the students who are registering for the December term exam and their validity is expiring in December itself, should not worry as the validity of registration for such students has been extended up to June 2021.
