I'd never heard of the author before he approached me. I love horror fiction, short stories and the blurb intrigued me so I decided to give it a shot. Good choice! I enjoyed every story on offer here. I usually find that every story collection has one or two weaker ones but these stories were all well written and engaging. The best stories were The Bloody Rag, Maggots in the Eye of Love, Big Beats, Ivy's First Kiss and The Impossible Gift. Each story is preceded by an illustration which perfectly fits the theme of each story. The illustrations are great and it's worth reading this book just to pore over the creepy pictures. This is an impressive collection of horror fiction and each story is different.
