IPL 2020: The 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is in crisis due to Corona virus. There was a meeting between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the team owners on Saturday.

All options were discussed in the meeting. Subsequently, Board President Sourav Ganguly said that if the IPL was postponed until April 15 due to the outbreak of Kovid 19, it would be short provided the situation improves.

The BCCI decided to postpone the IPL to 15 April this year, which was to begin on 29 March.

When asked if IPL will be short? Ganguly said that this will happen because 15 days would have passed anyway. Will have to be shortened. I can’t say how small it will be.

Former India captain Ganguly met reporters after the IPL Governing Council meeting. A day after the three-match ODI series between India and South Africa was canceled and the decision to postpone the IPL, he reiterated that safety was his priority.

Ganguly said that we will keep an eye on the situation even further. Safety is paramount. We have also postponed the domestic matches keeping in view the current situation and the direction of the government.

A meeting between franchise owners and top BCCI officials discussed six to seven options, including shortening of the IPL. Ganguly said that we met the franchise owners and told them how that could happen and what is the situation at the moment. It is currently postponed. We will review the situation.

He said that we will review the situation every week. Will have to work on it. We want to host IPL but cannot ignore security.

When asked about the alternative plan, he said that he cannot say anything now. Give a week time Let us see what happens.
