I Went With Something Generic

By Tanvi Rastogi @tanviidotcom

This post's title would have been more accurate had it been 'Public Service Announcement'. But since that sounds like a news telecast more than a lifestyle blogpost title, I went with something generic.  Here's the thing - I get a lot of feedback, on all social media platforms ... which is cool because A) it comes with the territory and B) I often ask for it and welcome it. I like feedback primarily because I enjoy learning about people and their thoughts. I find it quite exhilarating to exchange ideas with people and seeing things from their perspective. Sometimes it is amusing and other times it is entertaining (and seldom it is hurtful but I try not to dwell on it). However, as always I digress.  I was taking about 'Public Service Announcement', so here goes - my posts where I share my thoughts and opinions (e.g.are never in the actual order of how those thoughts came into my brain. Neither are those posts in real time (except this. this is in real time). Mostly I write my thoughts down whenever they strike me, then I ponder over them. If I think they are worth sharing or if it is something I feel strongly about then I try and elaborate on them ... still exclusively in my notepad. I continue to do so till I am happy with whatever I have written. And then I post it. It could make it on the blog a weeks later, sometimes even months later, but it is rarely ever in real time.  The reason I felt the need to mention it on the blog is because sometimes the feedback I receive on my posts is from people know/knew me in real life. They then assume that I am going through that 'right now' or worse they assume that just because they read my blog, that counts as 'keep in touch'. I thought I will put it out there that my posts are not in real time and often the snippets of my thoughts shared here are just that snippets and not the whole story.  And with that said let's move on to the outfit. I wore this, this past weekend for a spg + American Express party at the National Museum of African American History. Usually we never take pictures past sunset, but we tried and they came out pretty good. What do you guys think?
